I just think it's more accurate than just saying pretty, as it refers to an actual type of anime character. It's like saying mech...I hope you at least know what mech is.

Mech is an english term, so I know what it means. Saying pretty I think gives more of the desired effect and does not make you sound like an anime dork.

Fine, I'll try to hold back my anime dorkiness, as unashamed as I normally am, I'm sure it's annoying for some kinds of people.
But I'll only go so far as to stick with English terms. If I held back more I wouldn't have shit to post.
Hell, from now on I'll call it "boys anime" and "men's anime" instead of shonen and seinen.

Don't worry about it too much. You can use Shonen and Seinen because it refers to whole genres of anime or manga. I don't think any one will fault ya for that. Even though I still did not even know those terms for the longest fucking time. It only appears really dorky when you exchange words like pretty, or happy, or what ever the fuck for anime/manga terms that really didn't need replacing. Why say, "That boy is very bishi." when you can just say "That boy is very pretty." I hope I made some sense.

It has the defininition to alot of otaku words. Also has anime and manga user ratings. Berserk is number 1 in manga, but only 36 in anime.
