Well I finally went back to this game after been away from it for 6 months.
And luckily for me my characters where still there so now I´ve pushed my warrior to lvl 58 and my mage to 45

And I must say that it´s much more fun this time then the last time I played.

what time zone tho? i play anytime from 4pm-4am based on US Eastern time. theres a chance i could play with u

Yeah, that's me messing around on my private server. It's only updated to 1.8 so there's no Ahn'Qiraji event and the armors haven't been updated (if you'll notice my warrior is wearing the Stormrage set which is a Druid leather set that I remade into new items with GM stats, however it uses the old models instead of the new Stormrage models

).

Not like I'm a GM on an official server...that'd be too good to be true

. And besides, I doubt real GM's get to run around and do that kind of stuff. They're probably too busy answering reports from players.

I'm gonna go raid Dire Maul now.

It's stuck, so I don't think I'm necroing...

Do any of you still play this game? What's the ingame climate like with other players? Do you think the expansion will breathe new life into this game or should I wait for the Next Big MMO(TM) to come out?

The game is still alive, hell it´s the most played MMO out there.

Doesn't mean it hasn't become cookie-cutter and boring. I want to know if there's any fun to it. I imagine the game is full of level 60 guys (yes, I know they're probably levelling alts) and I'm curious if there is any fun prior to 60.

Dude, in my experience every single MMO out there gets boring after you hit maximum level.

Ultima Online was completely, 100% boring before you came around to 4-5x GM. Just forget I even said anything now.

Oh no, it's too late, you already said it. *chuckles*

I just find it weird that people actually rush through the game just so they can hit 60 and start going on high-level raids and shit. I prefer to enjoy the entirety of the game. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of fun to be had after you hit 60, and I'm looking forward to it...but that shit's got to get old after a while.

It's called will power man. I haven't even been playing that much here lately, and I still haven't hit level 60. I'm at level 51 for now. I don't know, it comes and goes in phases with me. Yeah, but if you're prone to addictive behavior, WoW may not be safe for ya.

the journey only starts when u hit lvl 60, everything b4 that is extremely fun, but when u hit 60 thas when the real action begins. u saw newbified's screenshots rite? you can only access those crazy battles when ur 60 (and u can only solo it when ur a bastard GM like him

) try looking up videos of onyxia or molten core on youtube and u be the judge of whats crazier, pre-60 or lvl 60

Finally reached my goal C'thun

. Gotten him to phase 2 with my guild. Aint that hard just a lot of stuff to kill and time it well.
