I've just come to the realization that the PSP is better than the DS.
Edit (10 hours later): You guys really let me down, i was expecting massive flamage by the time i came home from work.
Now for my real post.
I just imported an Enamel Navy DS Lite. When i first opened up the box and booted her up with Advance Wars: Dual Strike, i noticed something strange. It goes to a black screen and I see a little red dot, off to the mid-left of the screen. It keeps going and I keep seeing that little red dot! So as anyone would deduce, the fricking pixel is stuck on red. I tried poking it to see if it would magically dissappear but i just gave up and was pissed. 200 bucks on a defective product ....
But then as i played with it a bit, i realized that it barely noticeable when playing a game. Usually, it just blends in with the other colors to the point where i can't find it even when i really try.
Anyway, Advanced Wars is a good solid strategy game. I've played one of the other games in the series and not much really changed. The only problem with it is the script. It's terrible. Literally, every other sentence someone has to say "I'm gonna own them" (i seriously think the word "own" has already appeared 50 times in the same context) or some other crappy phrase. The script would only appeal to 12 year olds, it alienates any intelligent/older players from enjoying the script.

Because we've done that song and dance before, it wasn't pretty, and we realized it was kind of pointless, since in the end it pretty much came down to one's opinion or what they valued more in a handheld system. I am personally of the mind that the DS is superior, but when I do state that, I try to back it up as a legitimate idea (I like the library more and I have yet to see more than a dozen PSP games that I would either want, or don't have a version of already). Go troll somewhere else if you want to really get under someone's skin.BasouKazuma wrote:I've just come to the realization that the PSP is better than the DS.

As far as the DS Lite goes, I'm waiting for the US launch, because should something like that happens, I can do something about it without voiding the warrenty.

I just wanted to point out that Femto is a fag for not loving Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. I've been playing Gyakuten Saiban 3 (Phoenix Wright '3') a lot lately- in fact, I'm close to the end- and even with a relatively dodgy translation guide it is still insanely enjoyable and a crazily good game. Sure, it plays more like an interactive novel when you don't/can't figure stuff out for yourself, but Gyakuten Saiban 3 is, even more than Phoenix Wright, all about the characters- not the court sessions per se.
If Capcom doesn't port GS2 and 3 to the DS and bring them to the U.S., I'm just going to assume fetal position on the floor and never get up again.

Who gives a flying shit about the script in Advanced Wars? Seriously, who does?BasouKazuma wrote:Anyway, Advanced Wars is a good solid strategy game. I've stopped reading BasouKazuma's posts at this point (I can only take so much stupidity), but thanks for quoting that little bit of comedy.Ayanami wrote:Who gives a flying shit about the script in Advanced Wars? "It alienates any intelligent/older players from enjoying the script."
Hahahahahaha.
Does this guy even know what the word alienate means?
What a pompous piece of shit.

You stupid retard.BasouKazuma wrote:I'm pompous for using a word in the correct context and bashing a script that lacks any substance.
Anyway, if you're gonna play a game you'd hope it would at least have a decent script. That's why i give a 'flying fuck' about the script. It's just beyond bad.
You can't alienate people from enjoying or not enjoying something.
"It alienates any intelligent/older players from enjoying the script."
"It alienated my grandmother from enjoying chocolate chip cookies."
Grab a fucking dictionary. It's amazing, such a simple word that isn't hard to use properly and there you go and fuck it up. I guess you were trying to prove how you're one of these "intelligent" players.
And when did the fucking dialogue (script isn't the proper word either genius) become so important to enjoying a video game? I guess you'd find a game with cartoony tanks and super deformed characters more enjoyable if it had nonsense Evangelion stuff.
You're such a fucking joke around here.
Nobody takes you seriously.

The word has multiple meanings and can be used the way i said it as (even if it's not 'proper english' it has at least become accepted as such). You can wave your dictionary at me all you want, but you can't learn everything in a little book.
You can quit it with your bland posting format as well. You're very unoriginal and keep on using the same exact phrases. One would think you just copy and paste these phrases into your posts.

I wonder how many times you've said those phrases.
There's no need to reiterate yourself. So I'm asking you to try and post something original. That would please me.

Wows. This is the most stupid thing I have read on the forums in a long time.BasouKazuma wrote:The word has multiple meanings and can be used the way i said it as (even if it's not 'proper english' it has at least become accepted as such). Yet you don't have the means to prove me wrong with any concrete evidence.Ayanami wrote:Wows. I will admit i may misuse words from time to time, since I'm only human but I'm pretty sure I'm right in this case.

Read that and tell me I'm wrong.

Please tell me which of those meanings fits "it alienates any intelligent/older players from enjoying the script."al·ien·ate (āl'yə-nāt', ā'lē-ə-) pronunciation
tr.v., -at·ed, -at·ing, -ates.
1. To cause to become unfriendly or hostile; estrange: alienate a friend; alienate potential supporters by taking extreme positions. See synonyms at estrange.
2. To cause to become withdrawn or unresponsive; isolate or dissociate emotionally: The numbing labor tended to alienate workers.
3. To cause to be transferred; turn away: “He succeeded . . . in alienating the affections of my only ward” (Oscar Wilde).
4. Law. To transfer (property or a right) to the ownership of another, especially by an act of the owner rather than by inheritance.
You can't alienate people from enjoying something, you stupid ass, it makes no sense.
I enjoyed your little attack at me though, it's one of the first things someone that is wrong usually does.
It's also particularly amusing to see how you talk about "waving" a dictionary and then do the exact same thing. First you say how something you made up goes above the dictionary and then you use a dictionary to incorrectly prove that you're right?
Here's a good one: "You're alienating this forum with your stupidity."

It was the fact that you said "You can't learn everything in a little book."
Your arguing about the meaning of a fucking word. I think the dictionary is the number one source for that kind of shit.
I also thought that "even if it's not proper english it has at least become accepted as such," was pretty funny as well. I will let you think about how that is stupid, maybe you will figure it out all by yourself.

I'll describe this situation before I hit the sack:
BasouKazuma was trying to say how the bad dialogue prevents intelligent/mature people from enjoying the game. He used the word "old" actually but we know that's a stupid word to use here, mature makes a lot more sense. In any case, it's safe to assume that BasouKazuma thinks he is an intelligent chap. After all, he is complaining about the dialogue and saying soon after that smart people can't enjoy the game because of that.
So what happens?
Instead of using simple words like "prevent", "forbid" or "doesn't allow", he tries to prove his "intelligence" to this internet forum by using a word that is slightly more complex and completely fails in the process, further proving to everyone here that he is, in fact, a dumbass.
He drags his name in the mud further after that ("My word > Dictionary's"), but that's just icing on the cake.
Good night.

Don't alienate Buzkashi just because he alienates others who alienates illegal aliens. He couldn't stand the alienation of being alienated.

Plus i was just saying that a single dictionary is not a good source. If you view multiple sources then you can get the whole meaning of the word. One book won't tell all.

How much shit exactly can you alienate out of your ass?BasouKazuma wrote:Exactly man.Gaiseric wrote:Hmm, doesnt numer three kind of work?
