One thing, though...I believe Relf's post was sarcastic. No matter, though. Illuminati-Manga has no plans to pick up Berserk. EG is doing an excellent job; much better than the Hawks if I may say so...

I think if there wasn't such a long wait between the last two chapters we probably wouldn't have issues with the story moving slowly. Granted as has been pointed out its showing growth in that he's not relying on the armor as we were worrying a few chapters ago he might start to....

If I didn't have Berserk manga I don't know if Bleach manga would keep me fullfilled. :P Thanks guys for the speed and dedication to Berserk.

As well something that probably stirred up feelings from some members is the reply of:
Relf wrote:With the way Evil_Genius is going (2 days late now...) you wonder if they dropped it....
People need to realize that people have lives as well. And someone getting bent out of shape and jumping to conclusions over a 2 day span is a little premature and speaks little of what they think of EG.

And of course EG never claimed to own Berserk. All scanlators and fansubbers are technically stealing work, editting, and re-releasing it. But usually there is still honor between thieves avoiding wasting resources to have more than one group scanlate a project if another group is already handling it.

Either way, I'll say again that it was a great release, and thankfully the whole problem that has been caused at parts of this thread were resolved rather peaceably.
That was one of the few posts in that thread I wasn't really happy about, and there were a couple others in there. I hope people don't think we've dropped Berserk if we'll a couple of days late. We usually give explanations to the delay in the forums anyway, if not the blog post in our website. Seriously, if you want to work on any of the manga projects we have by editing or translating, join EG. That would usually help our releases stay consistent and speedy. I think that is a better option than having another group do it, that way there will be no ill will or misinterpretation with that. EG was founded with Berserk, that suggests it holds high regard within our hearts and it WILL NOT BE DROPPED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Oro and I, with the rest of the group will try to ensure that the chapters will be on time, but delays are inevitable if we're both are too busy with RL coincidentally at the same time. Oh, we need translators, for real.

Now that this is all resolved, I'd like to return to topic by saying this chapter rocks. I don't think the current progression has slowed down at all, I enjoyed the plot development very much, and now we have a better understanding of Farnese and Serpico's character, especially how much change Farnese has undergone during her journey with Guts. Oh, and we also got to meet the parents. Yay.

What a fool you are. As the leader of Illuminati-Manga I'd like to clear a few things up:

1) We stole no projects. Shocwave is slow as hell and we formed on a Gantz forum, hence the reason we're doing Gantz. Inane hasn't released in weeks and we picked up the project as part of an agreement to get a server. OP was a test which was accidentally released...and I subsequently dropped the project.

2) I vetoed Berserk. It's my favorite series and I'm satisfied with EG's releases. If in the future EG begins to experience problems I might consider picking it up but for now Illuminati-Manga has no plans to pick up Berserk.

3)

No, what a fool you are for identifying us as speed scanlators. We aren't. Our quality is rather high (it varies depending on the raw). We also have the highest quality Naruto releases of any current group excluding perhaps EOD (we're about even with them at this point), considering Inane and Shannaro have stopped releasing. No other group does Gantz with any speed...Shocwave has the project but they don't seem to understand that no matter how good your quality is if you take a month to release a chapter you fail as scanlators.

Now that I've got all of that cleared up, thanks for the chapter.

Your quality of Naruto and GANTZ is ok but you are speed subbers to me which is good since i dont wanna wait for mangas like those.

EG's Berserk quality is superior to your work of the mangas you guys do.

But hey im a EG fanboy so i might be partial.

It's worth noting that the raws EG works with are of much better quality than the raws we work with. But I'd rather not start a quality war so I'll leave it at that.

Another fine release...thanks again.

Interesting Chapter. Roderick is becoming more and more similar to jerome...from his behavior and how he works with Ishidoro. :o Well but no wonder Farneze brother isn't respected by his father since he is such a wimp. I don't think guts used the impact to jump to the top of the building, but let himself get busted through the wall to use the stairs inside...it also seems that the armor besides her berserker-abilities is offering great protective effect. Besides I wonder if it'll wear down. I bet the fight will be short and bloody and perhaps we can finally see the elf-king in action soon...

Finally a real world Merry Christmas! 8)

I wouldn't take most of the things Puck says seriously. He's an idiot. There has been some theories, however, to suggest that Skull Knight is Gaiseric. Unless the Elven King is Gaiseric, I can't see any connection that ties Skull Knight with the Elven King, beside the Elven scent that Puck detected before. It's possible that Skull Knight had gone to the Elven King for help in the past, and is now directing Guts and the party to Elfhelm knowing fully well that this journey would be beneficial to Guts from prior knowledge and past experience.

I think I stated the possibility when Puck name dropped Elfhelm the first time.
But I think we came to the conclusion that it´s unlikely since he would probably brag about it all the time

Maybe Puck did something that made him leave his kingdom, something he is ashamed of sharing with the others.

I'm trying to picture Puck being ashamed (of anything) and I'm coming up blank. I just don't see him as the kind of person who gets ashamed, or who would do anything that he would feel ashamed about later.

Puck isn´t clumsy and stupid like Jar jar (I really hated Jar Jar in the new star wars, made them suck even more then they already did).
And if Puck really has done something that got him kicked out from Elfhelm, why did he propose the idea to begin with if he know´s he´s not welcome there any longer?
