True, True, but Xenogears is seven years old. I say you cant bitch about graphics since it was old. yeah DQ 8 looks real pretty, but thats game just came out in November. Push it bro, FF 6 does not have beautiful character sprites and the gameplay is easy. (playing it right now) FF 6 is not hard at all, and you know it. Why did you play Grandia 2 all the way through? You didn't get the rest of the stuff in my post I see. Xenogears is just another linear RPG that only wants to tell it's story and pushes gameplay to the side. And Xenogears was not great looking even for its time. FF6 during its time looked great, not Xenogears however. I mean come on, look at the god damn menus, have you seen anything so half assed? A big thing with old RPGs was exploration, kinda put the spice in RPGs. DQ8 and FF6 have that. Oh yeah, Grandia II, that had a good battle system. A tad easy I must say, not going to be playing the game a second time ever, but I think it is not as bad gameplay wise as good old Xenogears.

When you first got Panzer Dragoon Saga and i watched you play for like an hour, I thought it was fantastic. Now, we didnt fight over who got to play more like Dragon Force, but I still enjoyed my time on the saturn. The agility dragon was my favorite, and i think Spirit was yours. I never fully finished that game. I wished I had from the way you praise it so. Disk 3 was as far as I could go. Chrono Trigger, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Phantasy Star IV are all up there though.
Phantasy Star 4, wish i could remember more. All I remember is Rune and Alex. I should go look for the emulation and give it another spin.
I've played Chrono Trigger more times than I can remember. I think i played it through 11 times. Everytime i go through it again, I promise myself i'll kill Magus so I can see Glenn not as Frog, but I just cant do it! He is way too cool! Now, I'm curious on how many of you played Chrono Cross...

People wonder why I am crapping on Square Enix as of late, it's cause of this and FFVI. I KNOW they can do better than they are. Granted a bunch of those folks left for Mystwalker, but I think Dragon Quest VIII and the new Seiken Densetsus will bring them back into my good graces.
BTW, I am playing CT on ZSNES right now, just about to get Epoch. w00t.
