StarCraft, Expansion and Console Gaming

Post by Saiyah »

I looked around and saw nothing on the epic StarCraft.

Meh, I know its an old game but I (and many many others) still play it.
The online play itself boosted the replay factor on the game 10 fold and if you haven't played it shame on you (or it may not be your cup of joe' whatever.) If anyone here still plays it let me know, I'd love to crush you into nothingness and make you crawl back to the one who gave you suck. (Yo mama, to those who don't know  Quranic reference.)

BTW for some reason I can't find a realise date for the new console game "StarCraft Ghost." anyone know anything about it?

That's kind of sad.

They are working with such a good franchise and are kind of killing it. To be honest I'm not really sure it would be that great of a game, as a SC vet I hate to admit it but its probably true, I've never known Blizzard to put out any 3rd party shooters (correct me if im wrong.) Should had made something with WarCraft first and delayed it, then I wouln't care.

By the way, you play the original SC on pc at all, Ayanami?

I used to play StarCraft all the time back in the day. It was a fav of mine for a very long time. If you want to play me some time, I will have to try and find my dusty copy wherever it may be or just fork over the cash for the box set or whatever. It is cheap as hell.

heh, sounds good.

I was hoping to find one of youse guys to beat up on.
But really, embarrassingly enough I'd have to find mine as well, I have brought atleast fifty copies, but I always seem to lend them out so that I can play other people. When I have it I'll gladly play you.

Before I fall asleep;

Buz: If you're familiar with the hadith Saeed muslim in there there is an entire hadith about paying homage or always giving respect to the one who gave you suck A.K.A the one who nursed you B.K.A your mother. didn't think about it too much into when I wrote it but yeah, thats what I meant.

--- Back to SC

I still haven't heard anyone talk about favorite races or strategies, whats's up with that? I guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow .... or make that later on today.

Yea but you said Quranic refrence...

Anyways.

Back in the day I was all about hydras. Maybe Hydras and Gaurds. If i was feeling frisky i would attempt a muta bomb.

Maybe my statement was inconclusive?

Meh... This particular hadith quotes the Quaran and related it in a way that the sahabi could understand and follow. It was pulled from a surah that I can't remember. I learned it as a kid and thought it was funny. My comment was so subtle. I guess I should be more careful.

---- Once again .. back to SC

Hydras and gaurds where my thing back in the day. But going fast Hydras w/o gaurds is way better cause gaurds suck with gas, plus I've grown to hate mutas (Hydras > Mutas) and you have more time to update, thats what works.

Oh yeah one more thing, when we get to play, it's always no rules, I don't want to hear 20 minutes no rush, I always thought that was crazy.

Yeah ... I was hoping for atleast a little news, but just like every other site I'm left with nothing. Sucks.

I tried getting into Wc3 I was so impressed with the single player campagin. But when I played online, the hero aspect of it killed the experience. One her will wipe out your supply exceeded army with one move. Also I didn't like the drawn out upgrades to the buildings.

Plus,. you should Play original sc, the hackers flock to BW, original is still kind of save, but I must say, destroying someone when you know they are hacking is a wonderful feeling.

Cannon rush?!?

Buz that really made me sad, when people did that to me I got so pissed off, But iI will say that it makes you easier to kill.

That does it! I'm going to just plain rebuy the game today (it's only 10 bucks and worth it.) . If you have it you should get on too.

Edit: I just found my disk. So looks like im not buying it, so if anyone whats to play just say so.

Got that right. Single player was cool, but online way so gay, with the hackers and what not, plus the new units were uber gay as well.

When you have the game and are ready to play, just post, I'll gladly play anyone here. I played a few games this morning, after like 4 months, I lost one because of a cannon rush, Buz jinxed me I swear.

wow this takes me back. I use to be a protoss player back in the day. I was the type of guy who liked to hold out for as long as possible and then come out with guns blazing mostly with mass carriers. Im cleaning my room as of this post, gona see if im lucky and find my old sc disks. Wish me luck.
