I found it funny how unconcerned Gutts is for the welfare of the nobles. He didn't even flinch when the kitties burst through the windows and killed off that poor group of nobles.
That is whats so great about Guts he doesnt have the urge to save everybody. He only cares about the ones close to and his goal.

Man what a sweet chap, its been way too long since we saw Guts kick ass like this.
The rest really did him good cuase he seems even stronger than before
he got injurid.

I though this chapter shows a different thing...when Farneze says "my parents are here", Gatts make that "oh bloody hell" face, but fights the kitties without thinking twice...he's not cold-hearted as he was in the beginning. Ok, you might say he's doing that for Farneze to acompany him, but he would at least say something like "I don't care, but if it's needed to you came along, then...".

Well, I'm just thinking too much....head hurts...

Maybe he will tell them that Griffith betrayed the Hawks or something so that they will hire him and not take kindly to Griffith. That would make an interesting turn seeing as how everyone STILL seems to like him....bah.....and if a war does break out then the side with Guts there will have a hell of a moral boost because they have the 100...no 1000 man slayer on their side!! ^_^
That's right!! Another pointless post by me bitches!!! HA!

No, the nobles wouldn't have believed it, and Guts was met with derision from the nobles after they returned wounded and beaten so badly. He was also known for defeating Vascon... (no clue how to spell it. =()

All in all, thanks so much, I've been floundering in a sea of emotion lately, and this was like a log to cling to. ^_^

Well this as in the translating/gathering/posting the new chapters. I know I'm just a little newb here. But I really appreciate it. The forums are nice too, because I get to see I'm not the only 1 obsessed with Berserk, or that realizes the elegance it holds.

I'd say Guts is equally, if not more renowned for slaying Tudor's General Boscogne at the Battle of Ft. Doldrey. General Boscogne was well known throughout many countries as the finest and most revered warrior in all of Tudor. It's rumored among Midlanders that Guts defeated the general "in a single blow," although technically Boscogne gave Guts a pretty hard time for a few reasons. Another reason he may be better known for his decisive victory against Boscogne (especially by those that took part in the war) is the fact that it was the very blow that ended the long war between Midland and Tudor.

Then again, according to Isidro, the whole "Century Slayer" legend is far more embellished. The way he tells it Guts slaughtered like a tenth of Tudor's forces in a single night.

About crossing swords with Zodd and surviving...No one besides those that were there to witness it with their own eyes believed that tale, as far as I know. Most of the nobles that heard about it sort of laughed it off. Unless the Hawks went around telling commoners and servants what happened, the word wouldn't have spread much I think. :(

I'm glad Owen recognized him, but even if he HADN'T, there's just no WAY that Vandemion is going to let Guts slip through his fingers. Of course Guts will be like, "**** off, you stuffed shirt windbag" at first, but I'm sure that Farneze will smooth things over and work out a deal, that involved a really kickass ship and passage to Alfh...er, Elfhelm or what have you.

What I'd like to see is the pope guy recognize Guts as the Black Swordsman that the Holy Knights were after.

Sounds like you where there, when that happened. ;)
But nobody knows, rumors spread fast and if someone survives a fight with the death of the battlefield that fought over thousands of years even came back after he was defeated. I would want to hear that story.
