And wouldn't it be bad if the Brand was completely sealed, because that would make Guts a regular human and he wouldn't be able to sense strong evil and Apostles? It would give him peaceful nights, but that wouldn't make the plot exiting.

What was Mozgus anyway? He wasn't an Apostle, right? But he was a monster and his executioners turned into monsters as well...
I have not clue, and thank god you didn't start a thread about it. You are smart so not a n00b but a newbie. The two are different. I really have not clue what he was, I think he did make some kind of pack like an apostle, but different somehow, though not sure. He was evil enough in many ways though.
Also I doubt Griffith woudl have let Guts go. If Guts had just asked Griffith would have been like, no I own you, you cannot leave me.

Yeah man, totally. It was the Apostle Behelit that turned Mozgus and his executioners into fake Apostles. Go back and check, you'll notice the part where he descends on them and nails them. It's right before the blood entity burst in. That's why Mozgus is suddenly able to breath fire. Yeah, he got the Goat Head guy too.
What was Griffith trying to accomplish on the Hill of Swords? Did he think that Guts was going to forgive him and stop hunting him? Who does he think he is GOD.....well ok you got me there.
I think he was just trying to see if he feels anything towards Guts or Rickert, and the dead comrades. And he found out that his heard did start thumping a little, and he thought that that was the response of the evil baby's body towards his real parents.

Yeah I think that Griffith was trying to see if Gutts could still make him forget his dream. Remember when Griffith was in the tower for boning Charlotte, he said that Gutts was the only person who made him forget his dream.

But think about it, even as a "mere" human Guts is as powerful as most of the apostles are. And I think he looks even better than them. So why changing him into an apostle.
