I say it's 80-100 kg's (no pounds, we generally use KG in Aus). Remember, Ishidoro lifted it a little bit (in the second encounter with Gats) and either he's super human or near it to lift 1000 pounds of a long arsekiller sword.

I remember in the 'legends of the condor heroes', the guy lifted a sword (who had one arm only) weighing at about 70-80 kilos. So, yeah....

Yeah, I wouldn't think the thing to weigh over 450 lbs. Man, I wouldn't even be able to lift it if it weighted that much. Anything over 200, and I'm not even going to waste my time. See, with a katana, all your power comes from your speed, and that I got.

The thing is a softcombat sword, as Starnum said. I can remake the tutorial for getting it if someone's interested. In the other one, is easy to guess that almost everyone in this forum would want a real one over a softcombat one. But well until i can't get my hands on a forge i will have to go on with that, and on the other hand, I can use this one!! (Barely)

Instead of buying the softcombat sword why not make it yourself? There are plenty of tutorials on the production of larp-capable softcombat swords on the net. The material cost for a sword this big would be around 40$ I guess, much less than the 160€ for the big one from italy.

Yeah that's true, but well I posted that because it's the easy-quick-way to people that don't have time. The one that I have it's hand done, and looks even better than the one in the shop (even if it's not made with latex.) But it's quite a work...

Ah, come on, there's nothing better than pummeling your fellow humans with rubber swords. Even better if it's done with a dragon slayer....

Its really enjoyable to bash you ...friends... with a 15 kg spike of rubber. Feels really good. ^^

No, I definitely want one. I’m sure I’ll get one too, eventually. As for making one myself, um, that’s not much of an option. I totally have no skill at crafts, like where you use your hands, involved in something that doesn’t concern button pressing…*sigh*.

somewhere in the near future you'll see dozens of people bashing with their Dragon slayers lol

*returns to reality

having one of those would rock expecially a full sized one
and the 15Kg of it would be just good practice

yup, the world of jedis may have been a fantasy,

but the world of dragonslayer-wielding berserkers will be reality!

Supposing the blade to be 72", with a width of 18" at base, and 12" before the tip, and an average thickness of 1", and assuming it's made of cast iron, then that's about 275 lbs. If it's a bit shorter, or it's average thickness is a bit less, it might slim down to near 220lbs. Still quite impossible, which is no surprise

Why the hell are you bumping a 9 month old thread?

EDIT: Forget it. Don't know, don't care.

I'm locking this before people start spamming the shit out of it just for kicks.

Locked.

You can start posting in this thread if you want.

That's the newbie thread, there, heh. Just post anything there, the rules say you shouldn't necro. It's bad for your health. Anything goes in that thread, it's much better than bumping age old threads from the beginning of time.
