3 weeks until I go to Japan, I'm kinda sad about not being able to see the Berserk film there... Not that I have high expectations.

Haha you saw right trough my lies there =p

I'm having someone pick up the next Young animal for me so If I happen to know something before the official scanlations occur (I highly doubt that). I will post it here.
Hopefully the clear file is worth a purchase =p

Miura is a genius, he's been preparing us for the long wait of the anime by making us wait for the chapters. He thinks of everything.

the name of the movie will be:
Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler
http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2 ... -scheduled

so seems like its gonna be from the Golden Age Arc, and it's part 1 (which is 10 vols)

My Theory: if its part 1 of Golden Age, which is 10 vols, does this means it will adapt 5 vols ?

so 5 vols in each Berserk movie

no we have 35\5= 7 movies

movie each year = 7 years

that's just to include the recent vols, not to mention the future vols

Your youthful idealism and endless optimism warm my heart, greak.
Keep up the fine journalistic job for those of us who are too lazy to find out this stuff on our own.
I wonder, when will it be canceled, after or before the third movie?
One original thought is worth a thousand mindless quotings.

The director said that they could use other means of distributing the series besides movies. So i'll be expecting OAVS after some movies. Probably after the Golden Age arc, i'm seriously expecting 2 movies at best.

To be honest I want a DECENT VideoGame 8) , preferably after the eclipse events -- It would be awesome to see RockSteady the developers behind Batman Arkham Asylum & Arkham City to Develop a BERSERK video game. But I think only the Developers of GUNDAM MUSO & HOKUTO MUSO would do it since Berserk is Japan-Origin--

If this Project got the right advertisement to catch the eye of none-BERSERK-fans(since it's a reboot) ; it will be huge especially outside Japan with fans of Medieval Fantasy such as Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones (As Song of Ice & Fire). This movie MUST be something AWESOME to attract more attention to fuel more projects [more movies, OVAs, VideoGames]......

I thought Sammy did a good job with the last game. Now they just need to make a new one for PS3 / 360.

I agree, it wás pretty good ^^
A PS3 only release would be good enough for me, even if they keep it in Japan we'd still be able to play the game.
Not to bash the 360, but only the PS3 is truly without the region protection crap.

Golden Age Arc I, eh? I wonder if they're going to try and squeeze the entire arc into a 90-120 minute movie.

The Dreamcast game was fine too, as far as I'm concerned. It would be nice if this project sparked enough interest in the franchise to have a development team fund a current-gen Berserk game, but I kind of doubt it. Games cost so fucking much to develop now a days. Only the absolute biggest animes get PS3/360 games, and the quality is usually average at best.

Speaking of the Dreamcast game, i was playing it for the first time recently and i was surprised that the plot was actually written by Miura. Reading about it online, the game is supposed to take place between some volumes 20 something.

Is the game canon with the manga?

Not exactly, but it follows story continuity. Basically, it's a Black Swordsman arc-esque apostle hunt not featured in the manga.

I like how all the screenshots of Casca in that news post show her crying. :?

I've heard the game actually has Casca regain her memory for a short time, making it non-canon (since that would certainly have an effect on Guts.)
Yes, that happens, but I don't see how it can't fit in the general story line. All Caska does is say Guts' name once and that's it. Everything goes back to what it was before.
Well, mercy, mercy, mercy...Golden Age arc alone will be 3 movies.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... nime-films

They'll probably switch to OAV format after this Trilogy.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN

I think this is good news The arc is 10 Vols. so this means roughly 3 vols for each movie. This means each movie of the 3 will get enough space to adapt the manga as it is, and not to cut corners here and there.
also the official twitter spokes person @Clara_de_Porras got a new face by Miura 8)

Now I want a trailer on the 15th Bring It
