Couldn't help it... But seriously, Miura never ceases to amaze me when it comes to all sorts of scenes, even landscapes.

I truly suspect that Miura has some sort of Obsessive Cumpulsive Disorder. Not that I'm complaining, since it makes for truly awesome artwork, but any time I start contemplating the sheer level of detail that pretty much every single page contains, I'm left in awe.

Yeah... but I hope he doesn't sacrifice the story for the artwork. By that I mean kicking the bucket before he can finish.

I'm sure we will all have a heart attack if he goes out while working on the epic battle between Guts and Griffith. But this is Miura, his spirit must be as strong as his artwork and story. We'll definitely see a lot more outstanding pieces in the future.

Don't even say things like that. Some possibilities are just too horrible to contemplate.

I don't think there's much to worry about. I believe he was in his 30's when he started Berserk nearly 20 years ago (wow, has it really been that long? Yeah, I suppose it has considering it started before I was born and I'm 17) and early 50's isn't too old. Not to mention from my understanding Asians are generally really healthy and live decently lengthened lives compared to us Americans(for obvious reasons).

I think Miura was a lot younger than that when he started Berserk. He wrote his first manga when he was just a little kid. He couldn't have been older than 25 when he began Berserk. He's a lot closer to 40 than 50, I assure you.

Wiki says he was born in '66, so that'd make him 42. He was 23 when Berserk came out. ;)
