Buz can only get away with it, because he's a vet around here, and he's making inside jokes...basically. (That means if any of you nubs try to pull some shit like this, we're just going to make fun of you.)
I love the pic you used Psi. It's very appropriate.
Once again Starnum you put me in my place......
Was just wishing the OP a Happy New Year.
EDIT: I'll be honest with you, I don't have the feintest clue WTF people on here are talking about.
Maybe I'll try and stick to the Berserk forum with the rest of the noobs......As long as I feel like it.

Re: I had a dream
So what happened in this age of fractions? Did th goat grabbers steal the elves livestock? Did the elves enlist the aid of Puck? What was the outcome of this threesome faction? Were there any fallen members?MrFelony wrote:It's something you have to have been around here for awhile to undertand. basically ther ewas a time where people started forming factions. the goat grabbers rallied around buzz as their leader. starnum lead some fairies...err i mean manly elves, and i believe eldo was another leader, but i could be mistaken.

Um.
A page and a half and no one even mentions a thing about Buz's actual dream?
This saddens me. Greatly.
Whoever gives the best Freudian dream interpretation gets a soggy cookie [courtesy of mune].

Hey, you're supposed to be one of those fairies! All hail the Emerald Knights!MrFelony wrote:starnum lead some fairies...err i mean manly elves, and i believe eldo was another leader, but i could be mistaken.
The goat grabbers did steal our livestock. When we got them back they all had this blank empty look on their faces. It was so sad, they wouldn't eat or anything. I had to put 'em down. Anyway, Puck is a fairy, not a manly elf. Starnum is a highborn elf. He's like six feet tall, and doesn't have wings (Unless he transforms into one of his more powerful forms). The only thing elves and fairies have in common, is that they're both of the fae races!

Re: I had a dream
that's why i corrected myself
. it also sounds like a requirement for the emerald knights is to have played D&D and your favorite race was elf :p

Re: I had a dream
Get the hell out! I figured your name meant: pound-force per square inch - 29 atmospheres, a clever allusion to Leviticus -- Units of atmospheres referring to Leviticus, meaning "of the Levites," to whom cities but no land was given when Joshua led the Israelites into the land of Canaan, and to whom a tithe was paid from the landed tribes, thus associating the Levites with an "ungrounded" society, elite and towering above all else in its cities that the poorer tribes could only look up to -- atmospheres (it harkens back to the magical flying city of Vane that housed the ruling elites from the Lunar series doesn't it?! I didn't know you were a gamer psi! Really though psi, beautiful symbolism, I was impressed when I figured out the whole Levite connection.) Then from there you obviously converted atmospheres into psi (because of the obvious logical fallacy of presenting a psi measure of pressure in terms of another unit of pressure! What did you take us for?) yields around 426 lbf/in², thus leaving me at Leviticus 4:26 -- "And he shall burn all its fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him."psi29a wrote:Funny, my name originated from the bowels of Rifts (sci-fi version of D&D).
Hah! That's great irony! Anyone familiar with the passage should recognize it in its original context as the Biblical method for any king/ruler to absolve himself of sin when he breaks any one of the commandments of the Lord his God (read 4:22-25 preceding it). I think you and I both feel the same way about burnt offerings to God (no matter how "pleasing" our Lord finds the "odor"). We don't absolve our leaders of guilt so easily, do we psi?
