In the later chapters all his enemies know about his immortality, so they stop falling for his feigning-death-technique.

I just hope that Manji start improving his fighting skills soon. At his current level, he has no chance against fighters like Makie or Kagimura.

Trog: Is Danny Dog out yet? Is it Luc Besson work cause he is the king of french action and his Kiss of the dragon with Jet Li was good. As far as I know the script was written by Luc Besson. The director is someone else. It's release date is 02.02.2005. I just read that Danny the Dog was the produ...

Yeah that fight was crazy. I loved the finishing move. I hope Danny the Dog will be different from ...

Agreed. I particularly liked the fights during the main characters second visit to the fight club.

There are rumours that the main actor will do a Drunken Master III movie together with Jackie Chan.

Chronologically it's after Blame! .

Currently my favorite metal bands are Slipknot/Fear Factory/ Muvayne/ Machine Head/ Soilwork. But my favorites continously change.

Tool is very sophisticated music, but their complex melodies sometimes lack the energy/ aggressiveness I like in metal. I love their song "Die Eier von Satan"

Blame!, since it's already finished. It's only 10 books so reading it shouldn't take too long.

I think you're right. Asimov's robot stories often referred to the ghost in the machine. Several algorithms in a cybernetic brain that combine to create new structures reminicent of a conscious mind/soul. In GitS the same thing happens with a virus that spreads over the net. I'm still looking for go...

::Naruto::

Inane have released Naruto chapter 245.
It's set 2 1/2 years after the Sasuke rescue mission.
The characters don't seem to have changed very much.
What do you think??

Back on topic: X TV is completely overrated. It tries to flesh out too many characters that are important for the story. Since it tries to give too much attention to each side character, you don't feel like you know anyone of them in the end. So based on the characters it should have been a 30+ eps ...

Re: Most overrated anime ever

You're right. This topic was all about saying "I (don't) like anime X "(I'm not referring to the actual X anime ). That was not what I intended with this topic. By writing: Which anime do you think is overrated?? Why?? I hoped to trigger some good discussions about older animes, that other...

I Robot was a collection of short stories that deal with the three laws and the ghost in the machine. The movie is loosely based on them, I think.

The are some books by Stanislaw Lem that could make good animes, like The Invincible.

I agree that NTHT and FLCL are great. It doesn't really matter how the people here are rating the anime. If you think a series like FLCL is underrated despite being really popular, it means that you think with all the hype it still doesn't do it justice. So calling an anime underrated is just a roun...

Ong-Bak a.k.a. Muay Thai Warrior is very cool. The movie is already in the theaters here and I really enjoyed it. Movie Muay Thai is cool because of the knee and elbow strikes. A movie that I'm looking forward to is Danny the Dog. Supposedly this one is not like the crappy hip hop martial arts movie...

I agree, Hitch-hiker's Guide and BOTI would both make good animes.

What I'd like to see, are animes based on William Gibson's science fiction/cyber punk books. Snow Crash (can't remember the author) would probably also make a good anime.
Maybe a collection of H.P.Lovecraft's stories.

Nice chapter. It's good to see that the other characters besides Kie also gets some time in the spotlight.

I just hope that the story gets more focused soon. After Tea died/disappeared the mangaka should have taken the opportunity to make some bigger changes to the story's flow and pace.
