Gutts will begin to love the child finally after a few volumes and they will appear to be some sort of a family but then Casca will die and the child will return by the side of Griffith.

getting back to the topic;
while the story of the eclipse and all was quite planned before he set to work on it, Miura does seems to have been inspired by that specific scene. but then who can say.

i doubt that it had any bearing on the manga as Miura started working on the manga by 1988, ie before T2 was made.
