EDIT BY psi29a: Status Update 09:35 EST – The raw is in, Eldo has finished cleaning it, we just await the translation which apparently has lots of olde Japanese dialog. Nothing we can’t handle because Mystic f-ing rocks, but alas it arrived at 3am on a Saturday morning EST and everyone is exhausted. So, in summation we will all be ready to rock the Berserk BT shortly once the Eldo type-sets and we QC.

Typhoon Miura, no Berserk 284 today!

As stated earlier, the storm is brewing and we confirmed a low pressure system developing of Japan. We are not sure why, but there was NO Young Animal today. Translation, no Berserk 284! However, as indicated on YA’s site, issue #8 will be released on the 13th. This is not an April Fools joke… we don’t kid around with Berserk.
We do still plan on making our release in the next few days however.
EDIT BY ELDO: By the way, we need experienced editors. By experienced, I meant had previously edited manga before, and not a random newbie who just read some tutorial on the internet. And yes, by manga, I mean MANGA, not anything else. You could be a graphics designer and still not be able to edit, it’s two separate things, in a sense. If you’ve photoshopped a donkey’s arse onto some jackass and proud of it, it’s still not manga. So if any experienced editors are reading this, please contact me by PM on IRC or the forums, or my email. Your help is very much appreciated.

Next Berserk (284) will be out around April 6th, it is a bit of a long time but at least we have a set date, so all is well.
Also, we want to thank Oblivion for the wicked sick header logo at the top of the blog here. We think it looks bad ass, and feel free to let Oblivion know too. 😀
We are on the lookout for NHK 34 raw, so if anyone could pop on the forums or leave a comment here we and all NHK fans would be eternally greatful!
Server now has new ram installed and is awaiting transportation to it’s new home. YAY! Thank you all again for your kindness.

Thanks a lot for the responses regarding the NHK raw, we now have chapter 34 in our possession.
As for NHK chapter 33, it’s still in the editing stage, since, you know, it’s freaking 32 pages and requires some extensive editing. It should be ready in the next release, scheduled in two weeks. That’s to hold off your thirst for more Berserk.
In addition, we need editors for NHK and Zetman. I doubt I could edit them soon, as real life commitments take priority over hobbies and other entertainment needs. Editors will be tested before we let you join, so you better be experienced. Thanks a lot, folks, always a pleasure giving you guys your manga needs.

Its nearing that time again, just one more week before Miura lets us savor his epic master piece.
Thank you all again for your kind generosity, it has certainly helped! The server is here and I’m currently in the process of putting more ram into it and copying the data over. I’m hoping that we will soon have it up and online making the site even faster and more responsive than it is currently.
The server isn’t Evil_Genius‘s but that of Mindwerks who gives us space as non-profit group. Your donations where not just for the server and continued EG hosting on Mindwerks, but a generous donation in helping out groups like Special Love who share the same server as EG.
Special Love is a nonprofit organization that provides cancer families a network of support, made up of other patients and families who know and understand the trials and triumphs of the cancer experience.
Our very own Killfile (from the forums) is a child-hood cancer surviver and helps to maintain SL. Yes, they love the Berserk too. 😀 So again, we thank you all for helping not only EG out, but Mindwerks and everyone else who shares the server.
