The latest and greatest of Japanese Animation. Found something new, or perhaps old and arcane... if it has to do with anime, it goes right here.

I assume they're simply refering to the resolution...

Well I get messed up audio when I try to play it, maybe I don't have the proper codec.

HDTV means it is still a TV not a DVD version. But the resolution is very good compared to the ArabDreamers' version, no doubt about that. Most probably the DVD version won't be any better than this.
Audio works fine for me. Your's might be a codec problem.

I've seen a lot of footage recently on teh internets (mainly from E3) being refered to as "HDTV" simply because the resolution meets HDTV standards. I suppose it could be a TV-rip though.
Damien: Tried the fixed version on animesuki?

For those who downloaded the C.J. rip (1280x720 is like 720p HDTV resolution), here are the "mini" pack needed to demux and play matroska (mkv) video:
http://packs.matroska.org/
It works even on WMP but I still like BSPlayer.
It's just me and my bad memory or some effects in the animation resembles those did in SoulTaker a few years ago?
The quality is über, the sound too. Does anybody has more info about this?

Heh, i wasn't so wrong about SoulTaker, I've just found that the director, Keiichi Satou, was involved in the creature design and some storyboard of SoulTaker.
I'm gonna watch soultaker again while waiting for the next episode.

I watched the first episode of Karas and I wasn't that impressed.
Sure, there was action, cool chars, nice animation but it just didn't draw me in. Dunno, can't explain it, just didn't work for me

I just saw Karas and i thought it was a pretty good.
It was hard to understand cause you coulndt see the text when it was very bright.
When Karas killed the big youkie in the end was beyond awesome.
