ALL BERSERK FANS with PS2s - ENGLISH Translation! HELP vote!
I once started something like this in the past:
http://www.evil-genius.us/forums/viewto ... 11&start=0
Things looked very promising and I had good support from you guys here back then. Unfortunately without a word the group packed up and disappeared.
Near enough 4 years after (sheesh how time flies!) I thought hell why not. I'll give it one last shot.
Looks like that 'last shot' might have paid off!
The translation group who I found with great luck show strong interest in the Berserk translation project.
Going by the group name 'Kirameki':
http://kirameki.altervista.org/eng/index.php
Here's where you guys come in.
ALL I KINDLY ASK is for as many people to simply vote for Berserk on the polls here (4th from the top) to show a strong interest from Berserk fans:
http://kirameki.altervista.org/eng/poll.php
Please don't hammer the polls more than once each.
You can follow the past responses of my request within their comments section.
As you can see it's not something you will have translated anytime soon as they're busy with other projects, but it looks promising to say the least.
And I'd rather see a translated PS2 Berserk game at some point, than nothing at all.
To add the PlayStation 2 emulator PCSX2 has come a long way with great improvements.
They're always releasing constant revisions here:
http://pcsx2.net/svn.php
So if you have a decent rig PC/laptop then you don't even have to worry about playing imports on your PS2.
I just tried Berserk out x6 native resolution with dx11 hardware settings. No problems @ 60fps:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j226/ ... erserk.jpg
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j226/ ... rserk2.jpg
Don't want to get everyone’s hopes up like last time, but this will be my last and final attempt.
So if everyone can show their support by just voting for Berserk and get others to that would be great.
No account needed just a simple select and vote click
Thanks very much!

Haha thanks Starnum, I hope more can join in and vote, only takes a few seconds.
I want to see Berserk completely knock off that game on top spot by a mile, to really show there's great interest for an English translation. Thanks again

Voted. Sadly, at the moment it looks like we need quite a few more votes...
Here's hoping it goes well.

I voted and spread the word around a bit.
Re: ALL BERSERK FANS with PS2s - ENGLISH Translation! HELP v
@ somefatman & brunoafh - Thanks to you both for your votes and spreading the word.
Damn I feel like I'm running Guts for President here or something hah, a hell hole world wouldn't be so bad anyways ey?
Almost at no.1 spot with ease, great stuff! The 'Tales' games get waaay too much attention in the world of translation projects IMO. I'm hoping to blow this and the other competition away to show that Berserk deserves the long awaited treatment it’s never had amongst many fans
Again I will say there's no guarantee even if Berserk won by a ridiculous amount that it will get translated. But still I would very much like to get the above message across via voting.
If it's my last attempt, then might as well give it eveything I can.
So please keep those votes coming in and thanks again everyone
Think we can even get 100!?!?!

Please explain in detail what problems you are having with running things. Do you mean running the game on your ps2 or emulator?
By the way everyone I was kidding about 100 votes, but it's easily jumped near 70(!), nearing double the amount of the previous top spot game! Keep it up and thanks again everyone

I think so. I've posted it in a lot of places that will get it guaranteed votes and it's climbing by the hour. I'm not confident this will achieve anything to be totally honest, but I figured it would worth the effort to post it around just to see what happens.Moyt wrote:Think we can even get 100!?!?!

@ pardigon - thanks man, every vote counts towards the big 100 now heh
@ brunoafh - I know what you mean; this might not even do anything in the end, which kind of raises the question as to why bring up a poll system in the first place.
I guess it’s to give Kirameki some idea how much interest people have for the next game to be translated. If in the end Berserk reaches well over 100 leaving other games in the dust come decision time, then common sense tells one to go for the biggest voted game - Berserk (as it stands).
But just like you I'm curious to see what happens and it's going to be one hell of a wait for a final verdict, but we'll know hopefully in the near future.
What worries me more though is should this go ahead, can the game be fully hacked? Because the last group that tried ('Transgen') couldn't.
This is why I don't want to get peoples hopes up too much right now. Luckily a simple point and click vote isn't as draining as my first efforts with Transgen.
Also thanks again for spreading the word brunoafh

Huh..Interesting..That will definitely be worth the effort in the future.
But still ...i'm for original translation of games.
I'm Sure we can ... here is my vote to make it more real (+1)Moyt wrote:Think we can even get 100!?!?!

aaand we've broken 100. I hope it's not via someone spamming. Doesn't seem like it since it's been a relatively slow process though.

Is Berserk in first place? And if so, what's second place at?brunoafh wrote:aaand we've broken 100. I hope it's not via someone spamming. Doesn't seem like it since it's been a relatively slow process though.
I don't want to spam it, and the only way to see the current vote totals seems to be to vote again.

128 votes so far
Trust me, I'm a doctor!

Wow I long missed the 100 mark celebration! A nice thing to see after a horrible hangover, thanks people for your votes! 200 next anyone?!? Haha
But I sure hope no one has hammered the votes either
Still nothing is guaranteed, but its damn nice to blow away the competition, Berserk has killed it!

Tossed my hat into the ring, as of this post Berserk is by far the most popular option listed....
and the only one I recognized.

Thanks Romdeau
And holy crap where did 190 votes come from?!? Not checked for a while. There I was joking about 100 to begin with, now coming to a big 200!

227 ! Next step 300 ?
I know a huge volume of vote doesn't mean the game will be translated, but it is great to see how Berserk can rally fans, and I hope this project will come true...
