Oh Roh and Japan
Didn't know whether to put this in the berserk section or here in the manga. Since its not Berserk I am putting it here. I remember people talking about whether he has done anything else, I just found out that DH is releasing another Miura work that he did with Buronson (Fist of the North Star). Its called King of Wolves.
Just thought I would let you all know. If anyone has read it let me know what you thought.

Neither did I, but I was on teh Dark Horse site and was looking for more Miura stuff, like seeing what non book stuff they may have, and boom I see another title besides berserk and look at it and am like awsomeness. It is written by the other guy, and since I never read Fist of North Star I have no clue how good it would be, but I definately have to say I love Miura's artwork so much, that I could read it for just that alone.
Me too even if the other guy sucks i will enjoy miura's artwork.
I found a group that did this manga but they removed the dl when it became licensed. Here is there irc channel maybe some of you guys can find it there i searched but couldnt find anything other yaoi in the channel.

I like the art very much cause it reminds me of Berserk when there were many fights.
Also im suprised that no characther looks exactly as someone in berserk since that is a common thing when you sevaral mangas by the same mangaka.
Man i want more than just 5 chaps hope that what DH is gonna realese of this manga is a volume not just a chapter.
The story is suprising good and what happens in the end of chap 5 is awsome!

Yeah I was going to make a comment about how she is built just like casca, and looks just the same when her clothes are ripped off her. She is a pale hot casca. Wait Casca is hot. Damn who is hotter. Hmmm. Well might as well bag both.

Just finished it. Only complaint I have is that I wish it was longer. Man that was awsome. Really good story, and Miura's artwork is awsome. One of the best things to me was that it didn't look really like bserserk, though it was clearly Miura. Like all the main characters had unique features and stuff. It was awsome. Probably will end up buying dark horse release, just in the hopes that Miura decides to do more side projects.
On another note. Does anyone konw the Japanese release dates of this. I wonder if during some of his recent breaks Miura was finishing up the artwork for this.

I am pretty sure it is. Dark horse release is 200 pages and does not have a volume number and this was 200 pages. Plus at the end of it it definately seemed to be a good spot to end. Really neat little story though. I liked it alot. Once again my only complaint is it is only 5 chapters long. I wish it had more. Really liked the style and all. Its like Berserk with a Katana.
I woudl actually like to see more Miura side projects though. It woudl be nice to see a Samurai one as well. It would be BotI mixed with Berserk, mainly cause BotI is the only samurai manga I can think of that is closely rleated to berserk in art style and violence. But I would not want him to do anything to intereupt wiht our regular berserks. I mean an addict is an addict, we need our regular fixes.

Yes the translators/editors/etc. did do a nice job. Very nicely translated, and I liked the little back history they gave us. That is one reason I like fansubs in anime over regular, is fans will alot of the times give you some back history, or explain japanese culture to you when it makes parts of the story clearer.
Plus it is a really good story, though so short. If they wanted to they could have easily doubled the length. The characters were good and everything.
I Love Miura too...

I Very much would like to have itBrainpiercing wrote:AFAIK the story was written by Buronson, the artwork done by Miura, and a long time ago in 1989.
Also, there is a sequel I think, called "Oh Rohden", or "Legend of the Wolf King".

and very politly would like to ask our MAN Libaax to find it just like the other.. XD
