Humorous Situations

To start off, my Mom's birthday was December 10th and she turned 47. My great grandma is turning 100 in March, so she's been trying to get all of the government info in so that my grandma can get a letter from the Queen of England (they do this in Canada). So she submitted all of the information on the federal government internet page, but she made a mistake and put her name instead of my grandma's name on the form. She corrected it right off, but it was already submitted. So a few days later, she gets a letter in the mail congratulating her (my mom, her name on the official letter and everything) on being 100, signed and stamped by the Prime Minister himself, Stephen Harper. Atleast they spelled her name right.

Let's just delete the thread and forget it ever happened.

Nah, we don't delete threads around here. This thread amuses me, but not in the way that it's supposed to, so I must just laugh and be on my way.

yeah, it aint that funny. i just thought it was silly that my mom got an official letter from the government saying she was 100. delete the thread if you want, i just made it because there was really no where else to put this. in any case, this at least proves that i either have no sense of humor or a really shitty one

Instead of deleting the thread, how about changing the topic? Like, 'screwed up situation' or something. Then you can exchange stories of similar events or something.

You know what? Now it's funny, we should keep it.

I like Eldo's suggestion. I'm going to change the topic title, if that's okay with you, Herald. I doubt you mind since you said we could delete it.

I think it's a humorous situation, in a quirky kind of way, but not worthy of a whole thread. Maybe we can expand on your idea with the title change.

That indeed is a much better idea. I've just been very used to how we are required to create new threads for new questions or topics on my school discussion boards, I guess I had a brain fart.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for this thread to become practical as well. Surely something humorous will happen to someone who posts on here, eventually, and then they can post about it. Though they probably won't. >.>

I could change the name of the thread to "Screwed-up Situations" like Eldo suggested, if you guys want. I just thought Herald was going for more of a humorous situation rather than a screwed-up one. Though if people will have more to talk about with screwed-up situations, then I can change it real easy like. XD

Someone wearing some jeans way too large for him, was running to catch the bus while holding his pants. They somehow dropped, he fell. At first it didnt make me laugh that much because I wasnt paying too much attention, but the freaking fat driver's senile laughing was just so funny for that scene it made me cry.
