I heard there's a new series coming out, did it start? and if so, how many episodes are there?

It's back, and it's gonna be badass! I'm gonna be there for every episode, believe it.
First match is going to be Miyata vs Arnie Gregory.

Yeah, I heard they were deciding whether or not to do another season. I don't see why the hell not. Ippo anime is so good, bring it on! It's not like they don't still have a ton of other stuff in the manga that's yet to be animated.

Did the first season end or did they stop ?
Normally i dont like watching anime when im in the middle of reading the manga.
But the old Hajime No Ippo anime was great and i hope this comes out since the manga is many volumes ahead they can make several new seasons.

The new season ended, but we're still waiting to see if they're going to make any more.

read somewhere a new anime is in the works, can't find details. Anyone got knowledge of this?

It's airing in october.
A friend of mine follows the manga and assumes this could be another 50-75 episode season cause of the characters shown on the cover which are shown pretty recently.

Nice! I was disappointed when New Challenger ended up only being 26 episodes, or whatever. Glad to hear there's more in the works. There's still so much more Ippo to animate, lol.

The only thing that worries me, is that the voice actor for coach Kamogawa passed away june this year :/ Hopefully the new VA will do a decent job.

so 5 episodes are out.
I feel the pace of this series is very fast for some reason. Very strange considering most anime stretch episodes to fit more content than the manga has.
