I'm getting the Rock Band 2 drum kit when it becomes available separately and the game by itself.

The old Rock Band guitar is crap compared to the wireless Guitar Hero one.

Dunno if the new one is any better.

Have fun waiting like a month until the PS3 version gets released.

The only thing I kinda hated from the GH guitars was the clicking sound, that's the only reason why I prefer the Rockband guitars.

The new Rockband guitars and drums are said to be quieter, that's enough to put them over GH peripherals any day.

Can you use the old rock band gear for this. Because i'm contemplating buying the Rock Band 1 and all the gear for about 60 bucks from my cousin.

Also femto if you could film yourself singing and put it on youtube i think we could get a couple of million hits.

Well seeing as how I don't own any of the Guitar Hero peripherals, I think I can handle the wait, lol. Yeah, I doubt I'll be buying this game anytime soon, but I wish I could afford it. I enjoy the game, just not enough to pay for all the "instruments" I think, heh.

The PS3 Rock Band (1) isn't even out in europe for another month. The 360 version came out some weeks ago here. What the fuck takes them so long to get it overseas? It's not like they localize anything...

Different music laws between the countries. When guitar hero 1 and 2=cover songs. Everything after that had real songs, so copyright laws kicked in...

They stopped doing covers of the real songs, that's good. That part always kind of annoyed me. So does that mean the original songs will be on Rock Band 2? That would make the game a lot better, IMO.

All the songs in Rock Band 2 are master recordings.

Woot! Can't you play the game with just the guitar? If so maybe I'll spring for it and get the mic and drums later, heh.

now since its pretty much turned into rock simulation, the best way to enjoy the game is with friends doing one or a combanation of the following:

1. on some sort of drug(s)
2. copius amounts of alcohol
3. people that aren't playing so that you can have an "audience"
4. girls around to see your awesomeness pretend to be a rock star (and thus later to be used for your sexual desires)
5. and of course people playing with you. everyone knows that once you go solo, you're just a sell out/loser/coporate puppet.

I can't wait!

Well of course the game is best experienced with friends. If I actually do spring for it, then I'll be inviting all my buds over for jam sessions. Maybe I can even get them to help me get all the gear. Indeed, I would look forward to all of the above on that list of yours. :smoken:

Haven't you heard from the rest of the internet? Fake guitars won't get you laid, we need to stop having fun with our "instant gratification" simulation and spend years practicing the real guitar, which apparently gets everybody laid who can so much as do a scale. All of us gamer fags need to stop claiming we are cool by playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero, cause we aren't.

~The preceding announcement was brought to you by a slew of music snobs who still think their garage band is going to "make it."

I'm married. I got pussy on tap son. 8)

I'm sure my wife would enjoy watching my friends and I play the game too, but the main point here is just that it's an awesome and fun game. ;)

I'm not terribly impressed with the RB2 song list.

Guitar Hero Wold Tour has three Tool songs, so I might be picking that up instead.

Hey, I love Rock Band as much as the next guy, but I can't say so in any kind of public forum without hearing "I don't get it, wouldn't you rather play a REAL guitar?" I figured we should just [sarcasm] listen to their well thought out and logical opinion and stop wasting our time [/sarcasm].
