Yeah but Ippo path isnt as easy as superhuman Narutos. Naruto and ippo characther can be compared but the two mangas is completly diffrent Ippo is much more real then Naruto who is about super powers,seal,bloodlimit and stuff..
Well, I just meant the basic premise. I wasn't really trying to compare details.
Well 90% of the mangas in this kind of mangas have a kid trying to be stronger so i tought you meant more than the basic.

i think they're goin overboard with those wretched flashbacks. Towards the end of 120 it was getting ridiculous.

Yes, the flashbacks in the anime suck. They're one of the reasons, why I prefer the manga.
The other is those stupid fillers in the anime.

although manga in general is better than the anime counterpart, i still prefer moving images, as long as they do a "decent" job. the flashbacks in this case are annoying, but at least they're not deviating from the manga which is a ok by my standards.
But still damn those flashbacks. Initially i thought, "hey thats cool, they're trying to add more depth to the characters" but some of it is getting redundant.

Normaly one of the reason i like this anime is that they make the fights longer than they were in the manga so i was angry about how they wasted time with Kibas flashback.

One of the main reasons they do those flashbacks, to shit we've already seen, is to burn time. I don't like it either. I mean, I can handle a short one, just to reinforce the memory of something that's happened, but they do go a little too far sometimes. Oh well, I just try to ignore it.
