So, which is it?
I've yet to play Gears of War and Twilight Princess is not as good as I expected, so I'll put a hold on "Best of 2006" for now.
As for worst, I'm going to list a couple of games that aren't technically the worst games out there but were huge letdown for me:
Yoshi's Island DS.
Okami (maybe).
New Super Mario Bros.
PS: Did Dragon Quest VIII come out this year?
Because that'd probably get my Best of 2006 vote.

I have yet to play Metal Gear:PO, which i hear is the best game out there as of now.
But other than that 2006 was a year not about games, but the new generation, and Sony stole the show of 2006.
Nobody knows wtf Sony was thinking, huge price tag, added a new media format (wait, you tried that with the psp....), luckluster online, shortages that made basically ruined any chance on making any impact on the market.
The internet was filled of Sony is gonna fail topics and pretty much still does. And some how MS and Sony switched places in company stereotpying. Sony had such an impact that ebay had to change their rules so that you could sell your PS3. People were shot over the giant black machine, and the best of all was the radio station saying that if you trade your kid in you get a PS3, a hoax tht some people actually believe. Falcon NW gaming rigs forcing a potential PS3 buyer to never buy, own, or play a PS3 to get a free 5 grand comp. MS had their pretty Gears of War with that one song, and Wii had their wiimote, but Sony's wtf launch i think is the best and worst of 2006 in video gaming.
But to go on topic, Final Fantasy 12 or Oblivion has to take best game of 2006. TP shouldnt be on the list, the game is cool, but for how fucking long it took to make the damn thing, it doesnt represent. Nintendo just waited for Wii to make it a launch title, so that at least one of their games was over a 9 on the ratings.

on my list:
-Black: that that whole idea of shooting anything deal was a cool idea, but when a gas tank requires like 5 shots, but humans require a whole clip, recheck on why you made the game.
-Dirge of Cerberus: square needs to stop milking FF7. just stop.
-Prey: the whole out of body indian casino gambling shit tried to make a new kind of fps, but failed.
-DOA:XBV2 this game fails even more because Itagaki was charged with sexual harsment, oh wait that was funny.
-Red Steel: Wow, this game like took the whole light gun idea and made it horrible. Then they threw in a sword battle system that just turned into a terrible gimack.
Worst publisher/developer: fucking ubisoft, pumping out the same games that we have already played that has even more bugs and glitches. How many fucking splinter cell's, rainbow 6's, prince of persia's, and ghost recon games to we need in a year? (however some games are good, but no replay value) devote some time into making a DAMN good game.

Casino's pretty fun on x-box live. Gears of war best, made me forget about Oblivion, Worst...Viva Pinata, I'm too disgusted to even try it.

Speaking of twilight princess: How do you end up getting anywhere once you get to the sky. Seriously, he was halfway through the game when i visited my folks, watched him get to the beggining of the sky. OMG, i spent a good 3 hours trying to figure out where the hell i was supposed to go before i just gave up lawl. Rediculous, maybe i missed a tecnique earlier in the game that would of helped me or something....
Fell at least 80 times, grappling everything, wolf form every square inch, jumping off of ledges for the hell of it omg.
And yea, it doesnt feel the same as it was when i played ocarina of time when i was 12. Repetition and age/no ocarina(bummer, liked those songs) i guess plays into that...
I played GoW and was sorta disappointed. Awsome graphics and layout dont get me wrong, but the third person shooter aspect isnt for me. I was expecting GoW to be an FPS i guess that plays a part in it.
