Our translators are gone. They haven´t contacted me or ripper after LO 07. So we don´t know when next release will be

I'm well aware of the Golden Rule regarding the question of "when will the next release be"... I kinda figured that after around 90 days though, the question of whether or not anyone out there was still working this (ideally on the current Jump releases, rather than by tankobon) might be broached. If EG was on it, I wouldn't have to ask (nor would I be fool enough to try... isn't that an auto-ban?), but so far as I know there's no-one who's doing this series... searches at Tokyo Tokoshan, Baka-Manga and Point-Blank for either "alita" or "gunnm" all come up with nothing more than what we already have.

I'm really bewildered that nobody out there in the wide-wide-world of English-speaking fanscanners loves this series enough to keep up with it. doesn't have to be Ripper... hell, it doesn't even have to be particularly high-quality. I just want to know what happens next!

Guess I'll just have to suffer the Viz release schedule, and be thankful for the occasional Ripper release. So, so painful... >_<

I also think it's odd that nobody keeps up with that manga, which is in my opinion one of the best around. Again, you have like ten groups doing one chap of Naruto every week, maybe one day they will understand that it's really a waste and if that's fame they want well they should find their own niche.

those narutards are a different, more prevalent category of manga readers.
its a different demographic altogether.
in time i hope more of these guys will discover alita and scanlate!!!

Dont know about the chapters, but volume 9 isnt on amazon.jp yet so volume 9 isnt out completely yet.

Great job Crazyankan, Im not reading the scanlation because im buying the manga in french which comes out as fast as your scanlation actually. But still thanks alot for sharing it to all the english readers.

Think phase 59 is out. Phase 59 should be chapter two in volume 10.

interesting volume to say the least. I really wasn't needed IMO. There are ways of tying that into a variety of omakes and "extra" content with every volume. As opposed to trying to make that a volume all its own.

It's really like reading another manga. It's cool because the art change, Kishiro has to draw more flesh and bone humans. And it looks pretty good too.
