Re: ~Moviez Of 2k5~
The Corpse Bride is hands down my most anticipated movie of 2005.

I'm also curious about Sin City, but we'll see how that one turns out.

I liked Matrix: Rev.halfnhalf wrote:thats like saying you hoped matrix revolutions was good lol. Anything with heaven and hell fighting usually sucks me into it. I just hope just like you that this movie turns out to be good.Starnum wrote:I want to see Constantine too. I hope it's good.

matrix rev was ok, but i thought it would be better...
but i think right now ALONE IN THE DARK has won the award for the worst of 2005, and it only the beginning. Lets see is Blood Rayne beats it as the worse movie of 2K5. when will hollywood learn that Uwe Boll is a crappy director? just look at his past movies...

Yeah! "Ksi" is going to be a hit! I knew that subject matter was a lock.

Hehe, yeah, I know. For some reason, an epic struggle between more-than-mortal forces are always interesting. You have good material in your hands.Starnum wrote:You hear that Femto!halfnhalf wrote:thats like saying you hoped matrix revolutions was good lol. Heh, Yosh!
Yeah, I'm going to be making it as original as possible though. It's always a good idea to take something great, like the concept of Heaven and Hell, and then making something even better out of it, by throwing in creative ideas!
I mean, look at what Kishimoto has done with Ninja. More importantly, look at what Oda-san has down with pirates!

Aviator & Finding Neverland were both very good movies. I ended up purchasing the soundtrack for Aviator. I recommend those.
I'm anticipating Sin City, but I'm getting quite tired of half-ass comic book remakes. I do hope to be pleasently surprised by this one though. I'm digging the entire Noir feel.
As for Constitine, nothing bores me more than another good vs. evil story vs. man story or some variation there of. I end up rooting for the 'evil' side just because I long for a different outcome so I don't feel jipped when I realize 10 minutes into to movie what the ending is going to be like.
That is why I can get into such films as Aviator and Finding Neverland because they are almost biographical (few liberties taken) in story line, but still non-fiction and entertaining. The stories' climax do not henge on fantastical non-sense.

Don't worry, you won't see the ending of "Ksi" coming. Not by a long shot.psi29a wrote:As for Constitine, nothing bores me more than another good vs. evil story vs. man story or some variation there of. I'm a bit of a nazi when it comes to anything that -should- have a story...movies especially...needless to say, there aren't many moments in which Hollywood makes me smile, sadly enough. Still, as far as what I'm looking forward to seeing...
Kung Fu Hustle, no doubt.
Constantine would almost be worth matinee price to me if...
A)Keanu Reeves ducked out & his part was given to a nameless wonder.
B)It wasn't based on a graphic novel...We all know what happens when GOOD shit of that nature, goes Hollywood...*heaves violently*.
War of the Worlds looks interesting at the least. Worth checking out.
Star Wars: Episode 3....No way in hell I'd miss it...I'm an obsessive SW geek. I only hope that Lucas throws his best chips into this one to do Vader justice...ugh there'll be a riot if he botches it!!
I'm old & too damn desensitized by American entertainment...so for the most part my eyes & ears remain on the Asian horizons lol, but I'm sure most of you can relate

Ah, I like Keanu Reeves. As for your B) part there, normally I would agree with you completely. However, I think Hollywood has been getting a lot better lately. Ever since the first Spiderman movie came out, they haven’t been doing to shabby. Especially not in comparison to the movie conversions they used to do before then. They may still not be perfect, but still, the improvement has been exponential. I think it's very possible that they could pull it off.Starlore wrote:Constantine would almost be worth matinee price to me if...

I didn't know it was a graphic novel. Was it a manga, or where was it made?
Did you know The Crow was based off of a graphic novel? Yeah, it was a really good one too. The first movie and the graphic novel are pretty much the same, but of course the graphic novel is a bit better.
Starlore: Ah, I agree with you completly.
note: purple font is a lot easier on the eyes when reading with Aelous template. Goes well with the avatar, nice....
Can't say the same about Damien's font, I have to highlight that to read.
I'll waits patiently for SW3, because I'm a completist... doesn't matter how much it sucks, gotta get on with the story. Just like the matrix, even if Reloaded sucked... gotta see Revolutions.
