Why would you want a rust-ang?

Camaros? Right out... to. Sissy cars.

Get yourself a vintage 1958 Corvette *drool*

Anyone worth their salt should be able to name exactly what movie the above is from, and the exact music playing.... or you're banned. *grin* kidding of course.

The entire point of owning a car is to drive it, that would not sit in my garage.

From clip: Heavy Metal (1982) and song is Radar Rider by Riggs.

Real animation before the age of anime.

Anywho, why buy a mustang? If you don't want baby it, then get yourself a car that looks nice and doesn't chew the ass end off your wallet/purse when it comes to the pump?

Of course, don't listen to me... I'm a proud VW owner from 1983 Rabbit Diesal (53 MPG thank you) and a 1998 Jetta DOHC (32 MPG) that goes from 0-60 in 6.9s . ^_^

Because a majority of mustangs are worthless ego boosters.

My Jetta 98 can own up on non GT mustangs as well.

A GT package is: disc brakes, a handling package with stiffer springs, shock absorbers, stiffer front anti-roll bar, fast-ratio steering, and duel exhaust.

However, in the 80s and the 90s the GT was only a name you paid more for, however the LX was the real performer.

The Mustang of the 80s and 90s are ugly as sin. It wasn't till the new design came out that the Mustang gathered a better curb appeal.

The Shelby GT500 is hands down the sexiest Mustang of them all.

Mustang is a brand, and often times it is tarnished by POS models, I'm talking the 4 bangers... which if a mustang is a Mustang means that the entire brand is doomed.

I have to agree with Psi's first post. That corvette is sexy mainly because i have a thing for older looking car models.

Thankfully this thread is dedicated to talking angi out of buying a Mustang, so we (more importantly I) didn't mean to imply that your car is a PoS. If you paid for it, then no one has the right to dis your car. My apologies.

However, I maintane that I spent $12K (stock, no aftermarket) on my car in 1998 and it can still out-perform some non-GT Mustangs that easily cost twice that.

It really is about the image and the brand. Lots of people get thrills just thinking about a Mustang.

I am not one of those people who has their EGO boosted just by owning a certain car. I payed less than book value for my car, so its worth more than I paid.

Yeah, you guys are too cool...

Damn Ford people almost got me with that 0% financing deal. Then VW almost got me with their 0%. Damn beetles have to be so cute. The Jetta is kind of nice too.

But then I decided that crossing the $20k mark isn't my style, even if I can afford it. (I am the world's cheapeast-ass-cheapskate when it comes to cars.) So I am back to waiting patiently for the farking 2007 civics to come out. Because I get lots more out of an EX without the sticker price and bad gas mileage. At $3.25 a gallon, gas is an issue no matter how much I drive...

Plus the boyfriend wants to buy a classic when he moves here. What is with boys and horsepower? Sheesh

Civics are gay.

Get a Golf(preferably a GTI) or even a Rabbit.

Yeah, 30/40 mpg, low insurance rates, and high resale value for under 20k is really gay

I'm totally gay then.

I was going to say that Hondas are for old people and girls, then I noticed you are a girl... so go for it...I guess.

The actual car is not gay, but the people who modify them are. Its is a very... practical, reliable car though. I just dont understand girls.
