I watched around 4 episodes then got really busy, decided I'd wait till it was completely done and watch it in one go.

I recommend seeing "Shingeki no Kyojin", probably the best anime this year. It's from a new studio as well, and they're doing a great job by following the manga so closely.

Other then that, it won't hurt to pay a little attention to "Devil Survivor 2".

This season has a few I have been following. Mecha seem to be really popular this year too.

Attack on Titan (or Shingeki no Kyojin) - I randomly read the manga for this one before I even knew it was to be an anime, and I have to say anyone watching this one will be in for a serious treat. Highly recommend. I don't want to say to much on this one because I think the story and how it unveils to you is part of what makes it good, but I can provide a trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c37Jq9zWd-I

Suisei no Gargantia- This one caught my eye early on, but i am not sure why. Basically this has a person that was in a space war with extremely high technology, but due to an accident he ends up stranded (with his mech) on a world with technology around modern day technology. It has me very interested as this is a story device I have not seen to often and 3 episodes in I feel like every episode has really delivered well. Also Highly recommend this one.

Majestic Prince- This one is amusing but not amazing. It feels almost like a generic serious mecha anime, with just enough humor to make it feel fairly fresh. In this one humanity is fighting off an alien race and on of their ideas to fight them off is to genetically alter and train children to be soldiers. They also have mechs that have the pilots DNA and reacts of their instincts or something. Entertaining... would recommend if you really like mecha but otherwise okay to miss

Devil Survivor 2- So I never saw devil survivor 1 but I have played a lot of video games in the world. The show seems interesting, but I am not incredibly enthralled by it.

Mecha is my favorite anime genre. It died out big time in the mid 90s though and will probably never come back to its former glory. That said I usually give new stuff a chance, and was somewhat excited to see three new shows announced, despite them sounding pretty much like run of the mill cliche uninspired stuff. Some thoughts on this season's new three I guess...

Valvrave - Blatant, laughable Gundam clone. Don't see this one ever surpassing mediocrity at best. Being Sunrise though the animation is rather pleasing, and the mecha design is cool too. Characters though are cardboard cut outs, and the story will probably continue to be paper thin. Pretty good mecha porn, not much else to see though by the looks of it. Looks like it might enter "so bad it's good" territory if anything.

Majestic Prince - Just shit. I don't really have much to say about it. Looks like shit, mecha design is recycled shit, characters are arbitrarily selected anime archetypes, this is gonna be a tough one to slog through. Would not suggest this to anyone.

Gargantia - Now this is actually kind of interesting, to my surprise. Being written by Gen Urobuchi, this is the mecha anime I was looking forward to most this year. Premise is definitely interesting, I like the down to earth approach. The animation is rather pleasing as well, kind of looks it has a Ghibli touch at times. I thought episode 3 got off track with the ridiculous tit pirates, but hopefully that doesn't become a focus and was just some random comic relief worked in or something. If the show plays its cards right it could end up being one of the better mecha animes this decade.

Anyone else watching the new Gundam show "Gundam Build Fighters"? Despite the ridiculous sounding premise, it's actually really good. The Gundam appreciation in this series is really high, so if you're a Gundam fan, you should definitely check this out.I really like the MS in this series. Seeing a lot of those classic MS brought back in custom form is really nostalgic.

I watched around 6 episodes of that, afterwards I kinda dropped it, the teleporting space kid thing is just getting to me...

Second season of Gin No Saji also started last week(same person who made Full Metal Alchemist, though it's something completely different).

And there is another anime which plays in the same world as this one anime movie.
movie: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?sh ... e&aid=7478
anime: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?sh ... e&aid=9888

Shows I'm interested in:
Space Dandy
Noragami
Witch Craft Works
Akuma no Riddle(Lesbo assassins!)

Also Persona 3 Movie(s)

Just starting watching Attack on Titan... pretty freaky... read some of the manga I wasn't a fan... but the Anime is very unpredictable and interesting... you don't get that with the Manga.

Recently finished Guren Lagann, and Kill La Kill. Two utterly similar, yet completely different experiences.

Currently going through Fate / Zero, and Fate Stay Night - UBW. Definitely enjoy the more vocal heroic spirits (Rider) of Fate Zero than the more stoic ones in Fate Stay Night.

I am waiting for DBZ Revival of F.

currently though, I am rewatching one piece, and just hit the summit war arc (the actual war, as I just finished impel down). I like one piece, but the bad thing about it is, there is so much filler during each episode. =\ It like Goku vs Frieza all over again.

I would have to say that Naruto had\has the worst fillers of them all... bleach is a close second

One piece fillers are at least funny

Currently Watching nothing... really its all just back ground noise for me now

lol.
How did you like the second canon thing to come out from AT post DBZ?

Canonwise, the only things considered canon for dbz is Yo! Son Goku and Friends Return! (20 minute? special that introduces tarble, vegeta's brother), Battle of the Gods, and Revival of F. Every other movie and GT are basically a steaming pile of shit... dont get me wrong, the first cooler movie and broly movie were cool and all, but fit no where in the canon.

Yeah, I didn't really care much for it. Most of the movies suck, and I don't acknowledge any of that crap that came after DBZ. As far as I know, Akira Toriyama had nothing to do with that shit. He wanted to end the series with Frieza, but they kept pushing him and pushing him. I'm kind of glad they did, because the Cell Saga was my favorite part of DBZ, but it all went down hill after that. The only thing good to come out of the Buu Saga was Majin Vegeta. There's just so much slap-stick bullshit in it, not even counting the filler, that it annoyed me. You could tell Toriyama had stopped taking it seriously at that point. Even after DBZ ended they just keep pumping out material b/c they know it'll sell. I LOVE DBZ, but I wish they had let it go out with grace, instead of running it into the ground. The idea that someone can come along and pimp-slap SSJ3 Goku like he's a little bitch is pretty stupid, even if he is a "god" or whatever. Plus, most of the fucking movie was bullshit comedy stuff at Bulma's party. I don't watch anime for comedy, so that kind of shit always gets on my nerves. *Begins to have flashbacks of Dabura having tea with Chichi and Bulma and shudders.* The only anime that has a lot of gags in it that doesn't really bother me is One Piece. I actually find it to be pretty funny, but that's not why I watch it.

Watching Tokyo Ghoul... its pretty interesting but they censor a lot of the blood and guts (not sure if it is just Hulu or what but it kind of ruins it for me a little) still not a bad anime just a filler until something better comes along

Other than the stuff they're showing on Adult Swim, I've been watching "Gundam Build Fighters Try". If you love Gundam like I do, and can get past the fact that it's a Gundam series without Tomino or war, which celebrates the Gundam universe and fandom, then I would definitely recommend it. I think the custom builds are really cool, the characters are likeable, and the fights are pretty sweet. Some of my friends were put off by the description, as it sounds like Gundam meets Yugioh, but seriously, give it a chance. It's actually really good. Just be sure to start with the first series, "Gundam Build Fighters". "GBF Try" is the sequel series.

Now watching Assianasion Classroom... tried the manga but couldn't get into it but the Anime is interesting. Its better with color

Sorry Starnum not much for Gundam.... something about Mechs in space... although I did like Broken Sword... the whole "you need to have a certain trait to use one of the robots but no one can run this one robot... except for the guy that doesn't have the special trait to run any of the other ones." was interesting.

Hey.
So since Berserk is a thing again, I've been thinking of getting into anime once more. Been watching some stuff sporadically, but I haven't really liked anything in ages.
Last thing I watched that wasn't offensively bad was Psycho-Pass.

So. Anything new you guys would recommend?

P.S. Not anime, but has anyone seen Show Me A Hero? That mini-series was amazing.

Started watching Arslan or the Heroic Legend of Arslan... again tried to read the manga, couldn't get into it, but the anime is on a whole other level. The animation is amazing I am talking bar none some of the best I have ever seen. Its got some humor, life lessons and lots of blood and awesome sound effects... probably now one of the top five anime's I have ever watched... and it is still going

Other than the regular stuff like One Piece & Dragon Ball Super, I've been watching Tokyo Ghoul. I like it. Although I hear the manga is a lot better, so I'll have to check that out at some point. I plan on getting into One-Punch Man before too long, as it seems to be the craze with all the kids these days, lol.

Gurren Lagann funny as hell  if you haven't seen it give it a chance it is hilarious. Interesting concept... hey you never know how things work after a alien invasion or end of the world it might end up like this

Oh and starnum Tokyo Ghoul is awesome hope they make a second season... same with attack on titan, both shows are amazing

Going to watch Buruto in theaters on the 12th it should be interesting seeing naruto's kid fucking shit up... but you would think they would finish with the anime before doing this but I guess someone doesn't care enough to wait or want the fillers to end because the end of Naruto is so close... Just finish it already!!!!

Huh? I thought the Naruto anime already concluded. Granted, I haven't watched it in a long time, but I finished the manga back when it ended. I would've thought the anime would have concluded by now as well. Yeah, I've seen Gurren Lagann. I didn't really care for it that much at first, but it got considerably better along the way. Attack on Titan is great. I'm really looking forward to the next season of the anime. I mean, I already know what's going to happen, as I read the manga, but seeing it fully animated is pretty sweet. Especially when you consider the quality of the first season. You can tell they had a pretty good budget. If the Buruto movie is anything like the other Naruto movies, then I wouldn't expect much from it. Even the manga mini-series with the kids was only "okay". I probably won't watch the movie for a while, so let us know how it is. Has anyone seen Beyond the Border? If so, how good is it? A friend of mine recommended it, so I plan on watching it after Tokyo Ghoul. Totally digging TG, btw. I hear the manga is even better, so I might check that out at some point as well.

There is really nothing worth watching, except One Piece. Joker is going down!

Joker is going down I wish they would just kill him... I thought the emotions in the manga was awesome but in the anime you can feel it... also thought they did a better job in the anime with the timing of the executives getting taken down

Edit: Baruto was pretty cool although Baruto as a character was not what I thought he would be... like Naruto but not knowing loneliness... which is a huge gift that no one understands until it is to late. Worth the watch but not a must see... wish they would have went through some of the other relationship that had children... combining bug and shadow paralyzing jutsu would be fun

One Punch man is some great animation and characters

Although I would not call them hero's

Recently started "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" and "Beyond the Boundary". Both seem pretty promising so far.
