Anime movies

The latest and greatest of Japanese Animation. Found something new, or perhaps old and arcane... if it has to do with anime, it goes right here.

There are several subs of this movie out by now. Bakakozou and Shinsen spring to mind, but you may find some other groups.

Shinsen have an ultra-HQ version of the movie out.

A true classic indeed. That movie owns pretty much every thing that has come out anime wise in these later years.

Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust is great. D is so cool. ;)
He is in my favorites after Guts.

Yeah your right there Necro, the first part is from 1985 actually..

I first saw "Bloodlust", after having seen it I instantly bought the first part... Was a tiny bit disapointed on that it was so old and not drawn in the same manner at all...

Wings of H. is an excellent movie, but it's also not a movie that attracts the typical anime audience. It's quite deep in a weird sort of way, and there isn't much action. Many people also think it's pointless, because the characters do lots of strange things. But if you look at it, actual people do lots of strange things, too, and I found the characters in this movie a lot more realistic than in many other movies, real life or anime.
It's hard to really sum it up, but I'd say the movie is about following your goals and ideals in times of madness and conflict.
You'll be disappointed if you're looking for action.

I hate when people think i watch anime just cuz of action.

Sure i like action but many of my fav animes are dark, wierd, comedy etc.

If its good i will love it if not.... i wont like it ;)

Well then, watch it if it's not too hard for you to get it.

I'll warn you however, I haven't to date found a good quality version of this, short of a VHS I saw a few years ago. The DVD is such rotten quality that even the DVD-rips suck.

Its hard to found new and famous shows on dvd here so it will be impossilbe to find VHS of this anime. So my only chance is the crappy dvd rip, i watched many bad qualities rips so i think i can stand it.

Ya, that was quite hilarious. I really don't get all this German fascination that so many manga/anime authors have. It COULD have something to do with the fact that the entire rest of Japan feels English is totally cool and the best evvar.

Or maybe the germans are their biggest sponsors :D So they go around saying "please please, give a character my name... Or I´ll STOP giving you my Euro!!!" (And all off this he´s doing with a dark loomy voice)

I just thought of a movie that was pretty good... the animatrix, well maybe not the whole movie but the first two give you a good history of the matrix and the war against the machines.

Try reading them, only two pics up right now. I'll add more when I get out of my lazy mood after work and get more time.
