Since they said it would take them three days to extract it I guess that if the channeling is interrupted then the powers will still be stored in gaara's body.
They might already have been captured by akatsuki. Funny thing that everything has to do with the number 9. Nine akatsuki members, nine tail monsters even the Anima looking thing that eats monsters got nine eyes .
And notice the way it's got nine eyes, but only two of them have pupils? My guess is that they've only captured two tail-demons, including Gaara's cuddly Shuukaku.

riight Itachi could stand on par with Jiraiya I doubt Naruto could rip him anything. The only thing that would hold Itachi back is that he has to still give up some of chakara to the "process".
I dont think "the process" make him weaker but he will not fight with everything against Naruto cause he wants to catch him not kill him and he thinks that Naruto is a lot weaker than he is. Which is why i think that naruto can shock Itachi with his new moves cause last time Itachi saw him,he was pretty weak.

With his Sharingan he will be able to see that Naruto is different. Also Itachi isn't stupid enough to underestimate his opponent. If you remember before the whole confrontation he actually dismissed his own power when comparing it to Jiraiya. He thought that the outcome if they had fought would have been the same no matter what. Add that with the fact that they know naruto has been with Jiraiya for the past couple of years I'm sure he would be "surprised".
But that is what we are waiting to see right? Lets go.
I'm thinking that the Itachi standing there is a bunshin or illusion of some kind- if not, either Itachi or Team Narutard will run away real quick- it's too early for a serious confrontation with Itachi.

I'm sure its a shadow clone same with Kisame . Wait well Neji would have reconzed that it was clone. ... hmm *thinks*
Of course Byuakan can see trough if they are clones or not also "the leader" of the ritual said take care of you real body's when the bunshin is busy with the process. So Itachi and Kisama are the real thing.

Holy shit it seems as though Kakashi seems to have copied Tsukiyomi. Sick but......... Itachi still has that other technique. Though I think he'll fall back and probably concede defeat. I think they are just there to impede the progress of the leaf.
