Ergo Proxy

Hokai, there is another issue which I have missed, at the very beginning there is a guy in some kind of a doorway and monolog goes: (At that moment.. everything came back to me All my creators evil plans No matter what I do I cannot resist them however.. however.. I must punish them for what they have done.. I can hear the sound of awakening.. ) and guess what, the guy is holding that same “talisman” our hero hade, which Lil has found in hers apartment.. Well its not something, but I mist it, since I was looking the first part and the second only in few days.. Since it’s the very beginning, it should conclude the whole leitmotiv of the series.. che gona be interesting
btw latter in the same episode about the same “talisman” Lil said: “Things with the smell of Moscow must be thrown away” Moscow?? wtf?? Are they going to capitalism vs. socialism(as a alternative [Since I have lived in communism and I know well that it’s not a way…])?? I would be a bit disappointed if that’s the case… But probably its my problem…
and about the virus - it is called "Cogito".. I just wander how in English (Japanese) the fruit of knowledge which was eaten by the Eve an Adam was called.. [since in my language it would be a direct translation ]

Well, this show sure is intriguing, and I'll be itching for each new ep if it keeps up this level of suspense. And I haven't even begun thinking about the possibly analogies to real life or social criticism, so far it's just a sci-fi show to me. Interpreting too much into early eps may lead to disapointment later, so I'll just let the story work on me, and think about it afterwards.
Edit:
One thing I just noticed: The thing that attacks Lil first in her apartment is not the proxy that escapes from the lab. In fact, the proxy that escapes from the lab is the one who helps her. Look at the face, it has the funny ball in its mouth, just like the one from the lab, while the other hasn't. It also seems scared in ep.1.
Now which one of them is found dead in ep. 4 I'd like to know. It all wasn't very clear.

the one that they found dead/unconscious is the same one that chased after vincent, the escaped proxy.

Seems like watching the 5th episode, that Vincent does seem to be the other Proxy...how he landed back in the water is a mystery though. Maybe after each transformation, it tires him out?
Anyway, I like the opening of Ergo Proxy but have no love for the opening song.

Yeah, i wasn´t expecting him facing the proxy at the chase, i mean he looked like the biggest pussy in the show and then all of the sudden he opens his eyes and BAM!deathbringer,
we dont know for now. most probably vincent defeated it.
i dont think its death yet though.
Instant badass, it´s like Serpico all over again.
Yeah, that´s what i thought, it was pretty fast and we got to see almost nothing, maybe it´s some other kind of connection.Seems like watching the 5th episode, that Vincent does seem to be the other Proxy...how he landed back in the water is a mystery though. Actually, I kind of like the pacing so far. I don't expect the whole series to blow off in just 10 episodes or whatever. The pacing is much better than all the other anime I've seen, and I'm not a big fan of anime anymore. It's not too fast paced, and it's not exactly stalling either.
It does seem that, if Vincent is indeed proxy, he does maintain some kind of degree to his transformation. I wonder if Vincent knows that he is proxy himself. He does seem awfully confused, but he may be acting.
We know the little drones basically killed most of those dwellers there, and proxy saved Lil. The remaining survivors probably were saved by proxy as well.
I hope we get little side stories to why Vincent decided to just go to Romdeau. It's still the beginning so far, and I expect it to get better, but maintain that mysterious atmosphere.

I don't really believe that. There was little to no commotion present when Lil dragged Vincent back to the old guy's hut, and Queen was also not perturbed by the attack, and she must have noticed. If all the refugees had been dead, there would have been more to show it. And if Proxy had saved more people, there would have been more commotion, too.Eldo wrote: We know the little drones basically killed most of those dwellers there, and proxy saved Lil. Well, we do see the dwellers running away as the drones shot at them, and some were killed. It might be possible that all the drones were chasing after proxy rather than killing the other dwellers. A more probable possiblity is that Daedalus ordered the drones to withdrawn, since he/she seems to hold some authority, especially with Lil's safety involve. Queen was probably more concerned exposing what a liar that bald guy and the truth behind the matter rather than panicking about the attack on the village.

could you post a link to torrent? I can not find it anywhere=/Brainpiercing wrote:Ep 6 is out by AnimeJiyuu, quality is good.
This ep advances the story a goot bit, and reveals (or rather, hints at) some of the internal squabbels going on in Romdeau.
btw I have seen row's of 7th ep for couple days in mininova, but no subs..for reasons unknown to me there was nothing about the 6th though

Hm, reading this reminds me of the concept of 'antibodies of the world' that's written in most of Warren Ellis' comic books. I think proxy is analogious to the antibodies of Earth. I wonder what Vincent is looking for back in Moscow. It can't simply be asylum. And it also seems that he doesn't really know that he's a proxy, he knows he is special, and that's the only difference for him. Lil is 'dead', which drops her under the radar from the authorities (especially Raul) so she can continue her investigation.
I think an OST will release in time.
