I'm aware that some people here have a DS, so it's fitting that we have a thread for it similar to the PSP thread that is floating around.

No flames, no PSP vs. DS nonsense, but feel free to post anything and everything regarding the DS here.

Target supposedly had an ad out for the DS for 99 bucks... they said they will honor it, but the ad is no where to be found anymore....

im almost on the edge of getting myself a DS, but 150 plus games... i think i might just buy some spiffy clothes, or at least knock offs of the spiffy ones. Though i do have to say, some games on the DS are pretty damn fun, Jump Superstars FTW!!!!

Well then, a DS thread eh?? I just got a japanese pearl white DS. It be shway, very shway indeed.

This picture is not my actual DS, just found it online and thought I would show ya guys what it looks like.

As for games, well Mario and Luigi just came out and it is supposed to be great. I don't have the cash for it right now, but soon it shall be mine.

Who else does have a DS on these forums anyway? I thought I was the only one.

I think I am going to get myself a DS with Mario Kart and a flashcart one of these days (piratey yarr)...

Rather than ask for one for Christmas and get the "You have too many games & systems already and you don't have time to play the ones you do have" schick I get from my Mother every holiday season when I try to catch up with the rest of the gaming world in one fell swoop, I'm buying one myself. I'll say I traded in my DS or something. Handhelds are the ONLY thing that she MIGHT be right about in that sense, with the whole "New Gameboy every two weeks" thing in the mid-90's. They include:

Original GB (somewhere)
Gameboy Pocket
Gameboy Color
The yellow Pokemon Gameboy Color (I didn't even ask for it, just the Pokemon game, when I was young and naive)
Gameboy Advance
Gameboy Advance SP

And I have a Game Gear floating someplace around my room.

Tempest man, if you want a DS, go to Min's. He got the Japanese colored ones that will probably never get here. He has Pearl White (My new pimp ass DS), Black, and Red. They all look great and the Japanese packaging is superior to the US packaging of course.

My wife bought a DS for the sole purpose of Nintendogs. She's in love with that game still.

We're currently training our Border Collie for agility so I guess it gives her a little something to do on the side of wanting him to be old enough and experienced enough to participate in the real thing.

Seriously though, I've actually been biting my tongue for a while now. If I hadn't started this thread and if I hadn't said the whole 'no flames' thing in the very first post, I'd surely be pointing out, in my less than subtle ways, how much the DS sucks. Nintendogs and 'lawyer game' have already been mentioned so I'm surprised I've lasted this long.

But I digress, and I'll continue to do so for the time being.

Aren't you all proud of me?

I got a DS with Castlevania. Didnt play more than 2 hours yet and I got it since 3 weeks now.

The Secret of Mana one looks somewhat interesting (probably just cuz it's Secret of Mana!), but Iron Feather sounds kinda crappy.

Then there's the Bleach game ... which looks and almost definitely is, beyond crappy.

I was waiting till Dawn of Sorrow came out but i lost my psp so i brought another. Now I just wait for ASH from mistwalker, then i'll buy a DS.

I'm buying a ds(mainly for mario kart, castlevania, ffiii nes remake, among others.), but I'll wait until a h/w revision. Nintendo must learn they won't get my cash unless they offer slick looking hardware like that which they've shown for revolution.
