hopefully we will se zoro getting serious next chapter, but my guess is that its just a warm up, that he fend them off and then escapes, to fight the real fight later

I had my doubts about the back story being interesting, but this week's chapter dispelled that.

Yeah. I love how it gives more depth to Arlong's character so that he's more than just an egotistical bastard.

i hope jinbe joins their crew (flashbacks are mostly connected to someone joining the crew). it would be cool to have a fishman - and since the straw hat crew is so powered up now the new members need to be that as well (and jinbe would have enough battle power)

Honestly, I think Jimbei would have too much power. When the other members joined, they always just seemed to fit for me now matter how disparate they were. For some reason I don't feel like Jimbei would. Maybe just cause he's part of the last generation? Not sure.

You're right though. It looks like he's being set up to join. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

jinbe does have a lot of power - but we dont really know how much, and zoro and luffy seem freakishly strong to put it lightly

jinbe could also be like robin. someone who seemed overpowered at the time but wasnt used that much in battle (at least not used much in the "boss fights")

Yea, I was kinda looking for that tenry(something) to enslave and/or kill her. Looking forward to the end of this flashback.

Don't get me wrong, I think Jimbe is awesome. It's just....he's a former captain, shichibukai and all-around badass of the former era. It just doesn't seem right to me to have him as an underling to Luffy. They've been much better as equals.

how is every one liking the new arc... it is a little to scattered for me... although most of their adventures are... new samurai guy's skill is pretty cool
