For the first time ever, we're getting a real Luffy flashback! We've seen everyone else's flashback, but finally we're seeing things from Luffy's past. I think it's awesome.

I'm pretty sure after the ace incident, Luffy's bounty should go up quite a bit. With so many main characters in the story showing up in one place, Luffy probably didn't get noticed as well as the others.

If you watch the anime you can see the crew first arrive on the islands they are currently trying to leave... FYI but I am glad the hole ace, luffy childhood thing is over... also hope he goes through some more training or self realization so he can stand again.

Oh, so apparently that bounty for Shanks I saw was just a projection / speculation. I looked all over for an official bounty for him, and it looks like there isn't one as of yet.

Ah, I see what's going on here. So it wasn't a specific location after all. They're just going to get stronger and meet up in the New World. I think it was meant not only as a challenge to the marines, in saying that it's the dawning of a new age, but also it's showing the rest of his nakama that he's okay. So if he's really going for it, they're all going to have to get a lot stronger and eventually get back together. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens. Luffy will have Sunny I guess, because there's no way they're leaving the ship behind, heh.

Four week wait is gonna be pretty tough on me. One Piece is easily my favorite weekly.

It was nice to get a definition of haki even though we pretty much already knew at this point. I still don't get some of the finer points of it though, like how exactly the power nullification works. People don't seem to always use it (like during Whitebeard's battle). Also, does using it adversly affect the person's own DF abilities? Thoughts?
