Yes, there is an animated version of Trigun. It happens to be pretty damn famous too.

But no that's not Trigun, though that definitely is a queer Vash look-a-like there.

Well then, i stand corrected ... but he still looks queer!

I just quickly looked into it, and i had originally thought that the Trigun manga came way b4 the anime but it only came out about 3 years before the anime.

HOLY SHIT! Way off topic, but there are official plans for a Trigun movie!
Hopefully it'll turn out to be good.
