That's the way real men do these things. :thumb:
does 24/5 still count?
How dare you turn off your computer for 2 days of the week. Shame on you. I leave mine on when I go on vacation. I generally figure its a good time to download a ton of stuff, so I start downloading a bunch of large torrents so I can come home to new stuff. If I leave longer than a week though I generally turn it off, but up to a week I normally leave it on, though I do make exceptions.

i normally do the same thing.... but i have only about 10 gigs total left on both of 80gig HDs so i'm trying to cut back on the massive downloads until i can borrow my dad's DVD burner and alleviate some of the excess.

The best investment I have made in recent years has been a DVD burner. I love the thing.

my favorite guy was the mexican dude that was "heart". everytime he always stood in the background while everyone else fought, and then the rest of them get their asses kicked. then theyre on the floor and keep saying "help us, heart!" and hes always like "i can't! im too scared!". and they like "you can do it!" and then he uses his heart ring to complete the connection to summon captain planet and then he saves all the white folks from the bad guys

I think he was indian... Captain planet looks like a lesbian though. Once you think about it.

Captain Planet, he's the man
Leading the charge, Earth's number 1 fan!

Check him out, you're gonna see
He's the Mega-mac Daddy of ecology!

Cap's the hero with the gumption
Takes on the "overs," population and consumption

Yeah, he could use a better groomer
Some people say he's got a bad sense of humor

"I'm baaaaaack!"

But when Eco-Villains run amok
Plundering and pillaging, Yuck!

Cap's here to level the playing field
With a Ph. D in sustainable yield

But he's not the only hero for Earth
Gaia's wisdom gave the Planeteers birth

Wheeler's the Fire
Ma-ti's go Heart
Gi's got the power to make Waters part

Kwame's rockin' with element Earth
Linka uses Wind for all she's worth

But still Greedlys and Blights trash our planet
It's up to us to say, "We won't stand it!"

Raise your voice and challenge your peers
Say it's way cool to be Planeteers!

"The Power is Yours!"

OMG you know the lyrics to the theme song. I remember actually liking the show for a little while when I was a kid, but had completly forgotten about it til Buz started this thread.

Oh yes. As much as I make fun of the 80s and say it sucked, it was by far the best time to be a kid. The cartoons ruled, the candy was cool, and we had Garbage Pail Kids.

No, and he is someone else we miss. All the quality cartoons are long since gone away. They brought back scooby doo, but the ghosts are real now, which defeats the purpose of the show. Part of the humor was them being scared of something NOT real. Also they removed the stoner humor which I loved so much. Granted the movie added it in there which made it worth while.

Come to think of it, I now realize I had an action figure of Duke Nukem, which shined light in the dark. :'( good old memories

Oh man the good old memories. There's nothing on tv to compare with the old stuff nowadays.

And yeah, Tom & Jerry is probably my favorite cartoon series ever. Great character animation and still funny as hell.
