I've played keyboards for a year now
And some of my friends say I'm a good singer but I don't believe them

probably..... I can never find any bass or drum players to jam with.Exec-Student wrote:Am I the only bass player?
I've never had a problem finding musicians, but it's hard to not find flakes. The majority of my friends are musicians and they know musicians, so it's one big network of artist, etc. Where do you live?Kêthêrîc wrote:probably..... in LaCrosse, Wisconsin..... it's not too big of a place. There's a well known guitar shop here, but thats about it. I don't think im really ready to play in a band yet, I would just like to jam with some people. I've been playing for about 5 years now, but im self taught, and don't really know alot things that i would have gained from lessons. Hell, i can't really even tell you the name of the chords i play.... I can play a good amount of stuff by ear, like most metallica tunes and the like, but it would be nice to know what it means when someone says "play it in D minor."Exec-Student wrote:I've never had a problem finding musicians, but it's hard to not find flakes. I see. You should consider getting lessons or getting some guitar theory books, etc. It will make a big difference in your playing and understanding. Your musicianship will skyrocket and you won't be so in the dark when you're asked to play in D minor or any other key. Jamming and learning other songs will be a breeze.Kêthêrîc wrote:in LaCrosse, Wisconsin..... it's not too big of a place. There's a well known guitar shop here, but thats about it.
