Ranma was the first manga that i ever read so it holds that special spot for me.
True, it has no real story (it never had) but pretty much all of the regular characters are enjoyable and funny in some way, have you read the whole manga Libaax? If you didn´t give it a try, it can be serious too sometimes....well 2 at best.

Now for Inu-Yasha, saying that it´s repetitive would be an understatement.

Her best work by far was Maison Ikkoku tough.

Her older, shorter works were the best. Maison Ikkoku was great, but I liked her not so well known series Urusei Yatsura the best. Funny original shit.

I did watch the anime for Ranma got bored very fast.

I have Inuyasha anime burned on dvd. I have watched almost 100 eps and nothing has happened, the old shit every ep.

I like the character Inuyasha and his fighting style though.

I have to finish it one of these days, maybe in the summer.

i thought most of all, D.gray man was the official FMA rip off.

busou renkin is not at all my favorite, but i got kind of tricked into cosplaying tokiko. so i cant hate it.

Inoue and samura are also long time favorites and i an also amazed at how they keep making such great comics. sadly, yukito kishiro hasnt been able to match the level of BAA/GUNNM yet, even with last order, in my opinion.Junji ito has always impressed me as well through the years.(he did Tomie Uzumaki, and Gyo, all horror.)

rumiko takahashi..give her a break. i thought ranma was funny for a while. gave a whole new meaning to chinese hot springs. im pretty sure she did it as a joke, for fun and later got it published almost by a fluke. ( kind of how clamp does things.) hence the whole no story thing. think about it, ranma was deathly afraid of cats because his father threw him into a cellar full of angry cats as a child. does this sound like planned story telling to you? what about the name shampoo. i think she just needed a name and saw her shampoo in her apartment. nothing more.

i think the only thing of hers worth reading would be mermaid scar, mermaid gaze..etc... the anime was okay too, i think. it was a long time ago.

and yes, inuyasha was, and probably still is almost as bad as DBZ with episodes. but i think she gave a good start to shojo.

The main reason why those series went bad is that they were repetitive in a lot of things, they had a lot of potential to be great if only they were shorter and didn't do the same thing every time. I mean come on, how many times can you say "sit" and not get tired of it?

Heh i got tired of that after 45 eps than i heard there was over 100 eps and i thought 45 is enough for me.

I do like the main character and his powers but as you say it gets repetive cause the same thing happen all the time.

Is Inuyasha still going? zomg wtf

Why don't they fuck already? Come on, fuck.

It was good for the first 10 volumes, but it should have ended while it was still on a high note.

Inuyasha could've been one of the great series, but Rumiko made it too goddamn long by adding too much shit to it. It went down with Detective Conan.
