Pentagon has long term plan for incase of a Chinese war

It said the choices of "major and emerging powers," including India, Russia and China, would be key to the 21st century international security environment.

"Of the major and emerging powers, China has the greatest potential to compete militarily with the United States and field disruptive military technologies that could over time offset traditional U.S. military advantages absent U.S. counter strategies," the document said.

The United States is eager to head off any showdown with China over Taiwan, the self-governing island off China's coast over which Beijing claims sovereignty. China has vowed to attack Taiwan if it formally declares independence.

The report said China was likely to continue making large investments in such weapons as ballistic and cruise missiles, air defense systems and submarines, adding, "The pace and scope of China's military build-up already puts regional military balances at risk."

A war with China or N.Korea would be very deadly. One with China may be catastrophic. Why does china seek Taiwan so bad?! They dont have any valuable resources to kill over.

The new capability could include manned or unmanned bombers as well as directed-energy weapons such as lasers. The Air Force Air Combat Command began a yearlong analysis of options for such a capability in October.

The document said North Korea was developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and sending weapons overseas. It cited Iran for developing long-range missiles and taking steps toward producing nuclear weapons.

Why does china seek Taiwan so bad?! They dont have any valuable resources to kill over.

taiwan was originally part of china. internationally, it has never been viewed as a separate state from china. due to the communist revolution in china, the opposition fled to taiwan and it became a 'rogue state'.

economically, if great-hinderland china(recently gained back casino maccau and trading-port hongkong) were to re-assimulate electronic-foundry taiwan, it would be a very strong nation.
this would be a very strong opponent to the might of america. even more so now that america is crumbling on its own overextension militarily and economically.
america would never want china and taiwan to reunify, so it supports taiwan's independence.
the good news for america is that taiwan has an instilled sense of apprehension over the still-communist china.

most likely, china and america would go into conflict over reunification of taiwan.

anyways there are other reasons for america and china to war over like competing interests over diminishing oil in the mideast.

taiwan is also very industrious. it produces most aftermarket car parts that get used in norht america.

i doubt n. korea and china would go to war though, if anything prolly china and japan if japan didnt have all those US bases in it
