Yes, we all know that DBZ sucks, but lets not turn this into a DBZ bash-fest!

Back on topic, is Kakurenbo any good? I think it was aired on Adult Swim, but i didnt watch it.

Well, "blow" is too strong a word, but it just wasn't very good.

Yes, quite possibly it doesn't suck. But DBZ is like very bad crack: You're constantly not satisfied and you constantly want more.... er... sort of.

so yeah, it doesn't suck, it, uh... it's just not very good.

But hey, on another note, a few months ago a female friend of mine told me she's read the entire DBZ manga - on the toilet

If you havent seen it already, watch Millenium Actress. It's made by the same guy and in the same sort of style. I like it more than Perfect Blue.

If you're into strange psyco thrillers anime style, check it out.

It has a rape scene in it, kind of sucks to watch even though its staged.

Millennium Actress is a lot more lighthearted than Perfect Blue. It's the life story of an actress told through the various movies she has done. It's just a very unique anime.

I absolutely love the music in it, which happens to have been done by Susumu Hirasawa. FYI, he did the song 'Forces' from Berserk.

Edit: Ya know, i created that DBZ thread sort of as a joke cuz i didnt want people to continue randomly posting in here ... but whatever.

Have any of you heard of this new CG movie called 'Hanare Toride no Yonna' (Yonna in the Solitary Fortress)? Looks kinda interesting but it's hard to tell from the trailer whether it'll be good or bad. Usually when i see a trailer, i have a good impression one way or the other.

Yea, i was reading a little bit about it and other people made the same comparison. A person even posted a comment saying that it reminded him of ICO, in the link i posted up there.
