for me actually naruto doesn't have much originality but... it's very good

What I personnally like about One Piece is that it's one of the funniest manga around. And yeah, the anime is quite good, Kaizoku-fansubs does a great job

I think he was an old member of Golden D. Roger's crew. That's could explain why he knows Luffy since he's from the "D" family...

heh, I still haven't seen a ep of the dubs, but after seeing a few screenshots of it as well as some comments, I'll be avoiding it like the plague.. I don't want to see -_-;
I like it, but when I say I like it, I mean that it's hilarious the same way early episodes of DBZ were. "I'm going to send you to another dimension!" level of bad, but even worse. Guns are turned to super soakers, blood erased, names butcherd, and weird things changed for no reason. example, in the flashback of yassop, his name isn't on his hat anymore. I have no idea why they removed that. And the main theme song is well... rap. It's really bad.
Oh, and shanks has a horrible English accent.
