I'm in a residency for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the best specialty in the universe. It's weird, because I feel like the fucking man and like I know nothing all at the same time.

Currently running a fem qunari rift mage, and its quite fun. Not as fun as an assassin melee rogue... but fun.

Re: What Up People!?
So need more eh? As far as TV shows I could recommend Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Bob's Burgers, Archer, True Detective, Rick and Morty, Bojack Horseman, Californication, Weeds, Chappelle Show. You could also check out some Ted Talks and the like.
Reading: Dresden Files, Dark Tower, Harry Potter...Animorphs? Walking Dead graphic novels, Malcolm Gladwell's books, Humans of NY (pics but has really interesting people). If you really want books that have kept me reading for over a year you could always read Braddom's physical med and rehabilitation and Shapiro's Electromyography and Neuromuscular Disorders and just summarize em for me
Videogames: I hear ESO is grindy but Guild Wars-style on the payment. Witcher 3 is OMG big. Dragon Age Inquisition is as well. You also got Batman out. Planetside 2 is a F2P MMOFPS. Hearthstone is my shit, small stints of gaming are what I can do on the weekdays between work, study, research, and running/strengthening.

Update since my last post in this thread. I finally moved to a nice place in a whole new town! Heh, anyway...
Looking for something to play? The new Batman: Arkham Knight game is pretty good if you haven't played it yet, but you know, Metal Gear Solid V comes out in a week. If you're not gearing up for this epic game, then what are you doing with your life?

Re: What Up People!?
I got Arkham Knight on PC when the game tanked for being such a shitty port. I got it for about 14 dollars. Now I'm just waiting for the patch that'll make it playable.

*Blows the dust off the old record and plays a sad song* Five years later and dammit, I still miss this community. Is there anybody still out there? Ya'll remember the good old days? Been reading through some of the old threads, and let me tell you, the nostalgia is real. Sometimes I wonder how everyone is doing. If you see this, drop us a line and let us know how you've been and what's new in your life. My daughter Casca (Yep, that's her name lol) is as old as these forums, which is pretty wild. She goes to an advanced high school now where she's already taking college courses for a much more affordable rate, which is pretty sweet. As for me, I'm pretty much the same gamer/weeb I've always been, just a little older lol. Welp, gotta get back to my fandoms, but I hope everyone is well out there.

Heyo.
Still alive.
Moved from California to Europe 6 years ago - still here. Couple of years ago I decided to go back to school for a computer science degree. I feel old af in school with all these bright youngins. Was pretty hard to learn maths (after 12 years of not touching it) and programming ( from scratch). I'm finally feeling myself getting in stride with all of that. Dont really read Manga anymore other than Berserk once every few years (Miura's fault) and Hajime No Ippo, though I still read some Marvel/DC/Image books. Don't play games anymore but I can dish out ass whippin's in Super Smash Bros.
Glad to hear that you and Casca and the rest of the fam are doing well, Starnum. Life is a trip and I'll always hold this forum dear to my heart. I was active in these forums from when I was like 12/13 to 20ish ( I think ). So, its safe to say, you guys had a big impact on my life and interests. Hope the rest of you are alright.
And I apologize for all the shenanigans and trolling of my youth! lmao

Re: What Up People!?
While proofing the latest chapter -- 360 at time of writing -- DPP pointed out that my use of "Formation" in a spell name was outdated, and we'd changed it to "Array" a while back. Once reminded, I remembered this as a recent change. "Recent" turned out to be a decade ago. The name changed in 2010. love 2 grow old
Like Buz (good to hear you're still alive and kicking!), this forum is dear to my heart and always will be. I don't think activity will ever revive in any meaningful sense here, but maybe it doesn't need to. Just seeing Sephiroth-avatar Starnum playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PSN the other day brought a smile to my face.
I'm still the same dumb nerd I always was, although it's really hard to find good manga these days; it's mostly Berserk and Jojo for me. I write/design/script/plan for video games for a living, so that's fun. I wonder if I'll ever be able to pass on Berserk duties to the younger generation... Maybe Dark Horse simul-publishing will happen first.

Re: What Up People!?
Hi all,
Been gone from the forum for a good number of years but I appreciate every chapter and all. Hope everyones doing well.
Long story short, got married, moved, had a kid, got run over by an SUV going 55mph, broke both legs, collapsed lung, brain damage, road rash all over, almost died, bedridden for 3 months, no big deal.
Hope to have another kid sometime, if it's a boy I'll name him Rickert, first kids middle name is a version of Casca.

Re: What Up People!?
Holy moly lon3vvolf, glad you're still with us on this mortal coil!
I loved it too. My relationship with FFVII is laregly free of nostalgia and I have a professional and personal interest in the artifacts and design decisions of long game development cycles, so I was always going to find it intriguing, even if it wasn't good. Fortunately it was good. I'm also all-in on director Tetsuya Nomura's particular brand of bullshit (to the point where, yes, I can follow and largely understand the meta-plot of the Kingdom Hearts games), so seeing some of that seep in through Kazushige Nojima's script (and the stellar localization) was fantastic. I'm considering going back for the plat...Starnum wrote:Indeed! I've seen you on there as well. How are you liking the game? I loved it. Going for plat; most of the way there. Cheers! XD

Looks like everyones playing the remake. I miss the old school turn based FF style but I like the remake as well. Not too keen on the Nomura bullshit to pad and elongate the game length
