Berserk: Which scanlation?

Post by Heemlock »

Hi!
I have Berserk v28 - v30 in both Hawks and Evil Genius scanlation.
Which is the better? or Which do you prefer to read?
Thanks!

This means, in this forum, all of the forum users prefer the Evil Genius version of v28 - v30, and no one prefers the Hawks version. I didn't know that, but now i do.
Thank you for the answer.

I prefer Hungry Jacks/Burger King to McDonalds myself.

I like Dominos over Pizza Hut as well.

I don't know why. People tell me they're better and I listen to them because I don't seem to able to form my own opinion these days. But sometimes I will to the opposite because I hate to conform to what everyone does. But I sometimes regret that. I don't know why.

I asked the forum readers opinion because i don't know EG or Hawks is closer to the orginal, i think all of us wants to read the better scanlations if there is a choice, but thanks for the answer.

While I haven't read any of the Hawks' recent works, back in the day they were notorious for poor grammar and plain not translating parts of the manga, not to mention editing poorly-scanned tankôbon volumes.

They may have improved in recent years though, but I'd recommend Evil Genius (for obvious reasons). :P

All I've really got to say is, the quality of our releases has increased dramatically since volume 26.

The grammer in the hawks translations was terrible.
