I don't know if I'd go that far... Sasuke is ghey and all, but I can't stand Danzou.

Think about why we all don't like Danzou and then think about why we don't like Sasuke. Danzou as a character accomplishes his purpose, he is the "face" of evil so to speak. When I say the face I mean in respect that we have seen most of this manga from Naruto's eyes and most of the evil characters have been detached from the village to a certain degree. Now with Danzou he has always been shady but now we see in a certain respect 'The Hidden leafs' evil. Danzou does what he is supposed to do whether his goals are for the bettering of the village or for his selfish needs he is who he is.

Sasuke is a phailure because of the angst and the fact that he is being led around by the nose blah blah blah. The next individual thought Sasuke makes will be the first one. Sasuke is nothing more than another proxy to Nagato.

i think the danzou vs sasuke arguement boils down to (in my opinion) how well made the charcaters are for their purpose

danzou is imo a good charcater (other then the stupid arm) in that he makes you dislike him for being so grim, and ruthless in away (more like a real ninja to be honest) where the entire manga has being more of the characters trying to do the right thing and what not be good about it.

im not sure if i have to explain why sasuke is not a good charcater with all the random angst, random powerups to be godly powerful ect. the charcater is built around the fact that people like powerful characters, and emo is a current fad if you ask me,

Yeah, you both make good points. The fact that I dislike Danzou so much, means he's doing his job, which is more than you can say for Sasuke. I can't stand Sasuke either, but you're not supposed to hate him. At least I don't think so. I would imagine that he's supposed to be a cool character that's really popular, but in my opinion, he's usually pretty lame. I guess Danzou does win in that respect. It's pretty much the same as how I felt with Frieza. I used to hate him with a passion, but then when I realized that was his whole purpose, and that because of it he's actually a really well made bad guy, I started to like him for the character that he is. Unlike Sasughey, who constantly disappoints me. Honestly Sasuke is the kind of character who's usually my favorite. The edgy rival. Only he's less edgy and more emo, and emo just doesn't do it for me.

I may have already mentioned this before, but so much for Danzou and Madara being the same person. Also, they haven't defeated Danzou yet, so we'll see how it goes.
