Hahaha, those bloopers to the anime are pretty darn funny.

Here, let me help you out. Metallica was one of my first favorite bands, and I'm still a big fan of their old shit.

"Darness, imprisoning me,
All that I see,
Absolute horror,
I can not live,
I can not die,
Trapped in myself,
Body my holding cell!

Landmine, has taken my sight,
Taken my hearing,
Taken my arms,
Taken my legs,
Taken my soul,
Left me with this life in Hell!"

Aaah, "One".
That's a good song. The opening instrumental is just gold. The rest of the song isn't at the same level, but it's still good.
Does anyone here know Gilgamesh (the band, not the anime or the epic)? That's a good band to listen to while reading berserk.

at the vancouver concert they had flame blasts during that number, way too awesome. i can't read berserk while listening to heavy metal though, it just doesn't work. the music has too much energy for me to get into what i'm reading. i like to listen to soft jazz or folk, like james taylor or bob dylan. what's good about those guys is that their stuff has a lot of interesting lyrics if you pay attention to them. i've also been listening to them my whole life, that helps with not paying attention to the music and more to the book.

I was actually referring to one of the outtakes from the English dub, in case you haven't heard them.

Oh yeah, I remember that one now, sorry about that. Yeah, those outtakes are pretty funny though.

I usually go for instrumental stuff for my reading music as lyrics of whatever language tend to draw too much attention away from my reading. Most of them movie or game scores, like the Lord of the Rings, the Last Remnant, Pirates of the Carribbean and some such.

Uh, not like I memorized those outtakes, like I did with the lyrics to nearly every Metallica song. ;)

And I added C'est La Vie Qui Les A Menés Là ! (Magma), Naü Ektila (Magma), Starless and Bible Black (King Crimson) and The Nameless City (Nox Arcana).
Good Stuff.

EDIT: Princes of the Universe (Queen). PURE: FUCKING. GOLD.

Lyrics (this song practically summarizes the entirety of Griffith's personality):

Here we are. Born to be kings.
We're the princes of the universe.
Here we belong. Fighting to survive.
In a world with the darkest powers.
And here we are. We're the princes of the universe.
Here we belong. Fighting for survival.
We've come to be the rulers of your world.
I am immortal. I have inside me blood of kings.
I have no rival. No man can be my equal.
Take me to the future of your world.
Born to be kings. Princes of the universe.
Fighting and free. Got your world in my hand.
I'm here for your love and I'll make my stand.
We were born to be princes of the universe.
No man could understand. My power is in my own hand.
Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. People talk about you.
People say you've had your day.
I'm a man that will go far.
Fly the moon and reach for the stars.
With my sword and head held high.
Got to pass the test first time - yeah.
I know that people talk about me I hear it every day.
But I can prove you wrong cos I'm right first time.
Yeah. Yeah. Alright. Watch this man fly.
Bring on the girls.
Here we are. Born to be kings. We're the princes of
the universe. Here we belong. Born to be kings.
Princes of the universe. Fighting and free.
Got the world in my hands. I'm here for your love.
And I'll make my stand.
We were born to be princes of the universe.

Also, it drives people absolutely insane on parties. And it would make for a GLORIOUS AMV.

Nice find. Queen always had some impeccable tunes.
I prefer Queen's The Prophet's Song from A Night at the Opera...at least it connects better with the mood.

Expecting Berserk to be regular is madness. Just fill the void with rereading the manga or finding out about other manga, and once 310 is out, it will be a real pleasant surprise.

Here it is, your glorious AMV. Nothing fits Princes of the Universe better than Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann:

Though you're right the lyrics DO fit Griffith really well, but there probably isn't enough footage of purely him in the anime to make a good amv out of it.
