Whenever a bankai was revealed, it suited the user to a certain degree. But Soifon's bankai seems like it was pulled out of the mangaka's ass for the sake of her having one.

I guess the spiral of disappointment continues. Maybe the author will have some qualifying reason for this bankai, but I doubt I could hold my breath for that long.

i hope the past few chapters are just one mound of crap in this manga that will eventually be surmounted and left behind (i say few because i cannot rember last chapters i enjoyed, othwer then kenpachi, but even his two hands thing was stupid...but oddly fitting, and the first 3 pages of this chapter where good)

im hopeing against hope that it does get good again, but they need to get over this stupid set up they currently have.

On the surface, it looks like he uses automatic pistols with cartridge feeds extending from his shoulder blades, probability of him using some form of negative energy (cero?) bullet.. likely?

Actually I thought the release was pretty cool in it's way, maybe it doesn't belong in a magical swords manga but it was refreshing and best thing that happend recently.

Hope he can do more than just shoot Cero's though :]

I liked this last chapter for the main reason that now! Finally! we have seen the three senior captains all get down and dirty. I'm sure we will see their BanKais by conclusion of this engagement. That would only leave Aizen and Gin along with Yama-jii to reveal their Ban Kais.

I think the author might be saving Urahara's BanKai till the end, because it will be the most awesome and most powerful. At least I hope so. XD
