I was doing a chemistry lab here at UBC where we had to isolate caffeine from soft drinks to determine caffeine content. We had to do research for basics, and I found this one site that calculates how much will kill you based on weight. 300 cans of coke, but only 30 of Jolt, for my 160 lbs. Pepsi bases more of its flavor on caffeine than sugar, which isn't good for you. Coke still has caffeine in it, but not as much as pepsi, but it has more sugar. Those energy drinks are killar, as stated in the subject line. Anybody know other foods that in a relatively small amount of multiples will kill you?

But id like to see more info on your findings. It would be ncie to convince some people I know to stop drinking so much soda. I'm kinda anti soda for the most part.

You say relatively small amount like 30 cans of Jolt is nothing.

The average Jolt cola can is 16 fluid ounces. Span that across 30 cans and you have to drink 14 litres of Jolt to supposedly kill you.

So I guess if you ever want to kill yourself you can just chug 3½ gallons of Jolt in a sitting.

Doesn't Red Bull kill you in less than that? There was a case about a guy who drank just 8 of them and got a heart attack.

I personally don't like them, but it's pretty obvious than anything in excess is gonna kill you.

I'll admit, I drink a few Dr. Pepper's a day. I've been trying to drink more water though. I don't think I've ever had a Red Bull, but I like to have a red Jolt from time to time.

Emergen-C does great things for hangovers. The only thing is it tastes like alka-seltzer.

According to various sources, the lethal limit by oral ingestion is thought to be around 13-19 grams. That's a shitload, considering that jolt has around 280 milligrams, or 0.28 grams. As for the dude who had 8, I remember seeing something like that on the news, I think he had palpitations or something. Whenever you see a lethal dose, it's the dose that could kill 50% of people, so some could die with less and some could die with more caffeine, so that could also be the case.

I bet I have a pretty damn high tolerance to caffeine. I mean I get caffeine headaches whenever I don't get my fix, so you know that's bad.

try nos energy drink. I was on a all night spree during midterms this semester and I was drinking a nos with a 5hr energy combined and my heart hurt every time I took a drink

2750mg of Taurine, 550mg of L-Carnitine, 274mg of Inositol, 343mg of caffeine, and 136mg of Panax Ginseng per 22oz bottle

You can never get enough Shrooms

On a side note I can mention that Energy Drinks is forbidden in Denmark.
I always forget it and they always take my Redbull from me

I don't think I could drink even two Jolts in a row. Well I could, but I wouldn't want to. As for actual energy drinks, I haven't tried very many for some reason *shrugs*.

That's because of the caffeine, not because you'd be saturating your insides with liquid, basically drinking yourself to death, dialdifordesi can argue this with me, but that would kill you quicker.
