Re: ::Naruto::
Man, now that was a sweet ass chapter.
Holy shit! He blew up Konoha! Well, you can't complain with that. I think enough people just died to sate my desire for character deaths for the rest of this manga, especially if Kakashi really did bite it. As for the panel you're talking about, Grahf, I'm not sure if that was the yondaime's coat or not. I thought it was the scroll unraveling. Naruto still doesn't know who his father was, right? So I don't see any reason why he would start wearing his coat just yet, but that'd look badass if he did.
Pain will pay for this, and Naruto's going to collect the debt.

Re: ::Naruto::
Or perhaps its Fukasaku was talking about. When he said that the three of them could sumon something pretty strong. Shima did try to sumon something sooooo should be interesting. One thing is for sure people had to bite the bullet this time.
One thing I have to say is thank god we moved away from this "Bring Sasuke Back" bullshit. One would have to think that the next time Sasuke shows his face to Naruto that it had better be in aide of Konoha.
Yeah, that might be it. Also, yes, this break from the normal "bring Sasuke back" BS is like a breath of fresh air, heh.
Re: ::Naruto::
I thought I posted it here. Well after seeing this last chapter its somewhat hard to imagine anyone being stronger than Pain. I know that Madara is the leader and all but. I just don't see how in fact he is at this point. My theory on Madara is that he like Pain fights without his real body. that somehow he is using some fancy projection of himself. I guess that could explain how team Naruto couldn't land a single attack on him or some mass Genjutsu or sorts.
Pain has upgraded himself from someone who defeated Jiraiya to someone who can destroy a single village without getting his hands dirty. We don't even know for sure if Nagato can use every technique himself. I would assume that he can and somehow Madara taught him the efficiency of using others to do the work. Its going to be interesting to finally see the relationship between Pain and Madara.

Re: ::Naruto::
MERRY CHRISTMAS, NARUTO!
I didn´t saw that one coming, i can totally see a second time skip now. During the next great ninja war because Pain and Madara are obviously going to ignite the war now that Konoha is out of the picture.
Pain may be the strongest ninja in the series by far but the only reason why he´s kicking so much as so far is because people still don´t know his true secret and it´s getting out there, slowly. Tsunade was already prepared for the God Pain.
Also, isn´t there something being summoned in the middle of the crater?

I still say that Kakashi probably didn´t bite it but Sizunu dying that fucked up way made me a sad panda.Well, you can't complain with that. I think enough people just died to sate my desire for character deaths for the rest of this manga, especially if Kakashi really did bite it.
That´s overreacting, most of Pain´s bodies were already fighting several ninjas that were holding up against them and fucking Konohamaru managed to got a huge hit on one of the bodies and Pain lost one body.Pain has upgraded himself from someone who defeated Jiraiya to someone who can destroy a single village without getting his hands dirty.

Re: ::Naruto::
You're talking about his puppet bodies. When I said without getting his hands dirty I'm talking about Nagato. He has still yet to engage anyone as of yet and we still don't know if he can actually do all this on his own. It really would make sense that he could, but regardless he took out a village with 6 puppets and Conan. All he did was sit back like some sort of Voyeur and watch the chaos!Deathbringer wrote:That´s overreacting, most of Pain´s bodies were already fighting several ninjas that were holding up against them and fucking Konohamaru managed to got a huge hit on one of the bodies and Pain lost one body.

I'm probably way off here, but for some reason I imagine Nagato's real body as a crippled now, which would be another reason for his "pain" that he wishes to share with the world. Like maybe something happened to him after his training with Jiraiya, and he was crippled during a war or something, and now he's actually a very bitter invalid. Heh, just a wild idea I had.

I said that a while back. I picture pain like gantz curled in a ball controlling people.Starnum wrote:I'm probably way off here, but for some reason I imagine Nagato's real body as a crippled now, which would be another reason for his "pain" that he wishes to share with the world. That combats the theory of the chakara recievers haveing a limited range. He has to be able to move to some extent but I do agree with you that he is disabled in someway. Though I highly doubt to the extent of being crippled.
Also I saw a picture and this next chapter is going to be a little crazy.

Oh, yeah, I guess that is similar to my idea, but I didn't put it together as the same as him being crippled. *shrugs*ShinigamiGuts wrote:I said that a while back. I picture pain like gantz curled in a ball controlling people.
Yeah, I thought about that, but if he is crippled, maybe he has a way to move otherwise, kind of like Dr. Xavier's floating chair.Grahf wrote:Also I saw a picture and this next chapter is going to be a little crazy.
Re: ::Naruto::
In reviewing some of the old chapters. I'm wondering if Tsunade is going to "Beware of Root". I mean it was the very last thing Jiraiya said to her. I'm interested to see how well prepared she is for it.

Re: ::Naruto::
i wonder if naruto will have any new tricks to show us when pain arrives, although wouldn't it be funny if they both missed each other, pain arrived at the toad village just as naruto arrives at the destroyed leaf village (i can almost see this, infact im waiting to see naruto's reaction to what pain did to the leaf village, will be some epic rage + tailed fox i bet, mabe random mastery of sage mode to while he is at it)

Holy shit! That was badass!
He's got the coat on! Good call, Grahf. He looks awesome now! If he really has surpassed the previous generations, then Pain is going down!
Re: ::Naruto::
if this was released monday does this mean another will be released friday?
Re: ::Naruto::
I don't know, but I'm psyched to see what's gonna happen next at this point.
Re: ::Naruto::
No release friday. Jump didn't come out last week and it is suppose to come out on friday. But this is the friday release just a couple of days early, this has happened once before.
Not just the coat but he is rocking the scroll on his back as well. Another thing that is extremely interesting: I don't want to jump to the conclusion but perhaps he developed a derivative of the Yondaime's "Body flicker" technique? Remember with the shared vision before that pain can make adjustments on the fly. The fact that he couldn't do so shows that he had no clue what was coming (IMO). Also it was pretty cool to see all the frogs that Jiraiya has summoned at some point in time show up for the throw down. Though just the "Two Great hermits" are enough, Now you have Gamabunta and Gamaiki (sp?) there? damn!
I thought it was pretty cool that Tsunade had stepped up as Godaime and looked to take one for the team. Though I'm sure 'Root' will have their say in a few chapters. I think I touched on everything I wanted to say. Probably one of the best chapters this year, in an already stacked year.
Starnum, SG tell me what you guys think. I personally think the year started off with great promise of Itachi vs. Sasuke (which wasn't even a top five fight IMO) and has ended with great promise again. lol
Yeah, I noticed the scroll too, that is bitchin'! I was wondering if he had learned the flash technique, if so that would be so badass! As for the frogs, they're kick ass too. Yeah, Gamakichi is standing on Gamabunta's head, and Naruto is on Kichi's head, that scene pwned face! I don't even know who those other super giant frogs are, lol. I wonder if Naruto appeared so suddenly with his Rasengan because of the summoning, or if he really did learn the flash step. If so that'd be awesome, IMO. Also now that he has the scroll who knows what kind of other mad summons he might get. Was that the scroll that Jiraiya wanted him to inherit, or was there another one or something too? They said something about a key or something whenever Jiraiya passed it on before he died to that other frog. Yeah, it's cool to see Tsunade stepping up to fight for the village, but I'm not sure what's gonna happen with Root, they worry me.
Yeah, I pretty much agree with you on that, Grahf. The year started out strong and then fell weak again before ending with some really great chapters towards the final months. I just hope the series can keep up this momentum all the way to its conclusion, which may be closer than we anticipate. I don't know how much more is going to happen, I just hope it's as good as it has been lately.

The frog with the Swords shows up during Ochimaru's "Konoha Kuzushi" http://read.mangashare.com/Naruto/chapt ... ge010.html
and the one with that fork thing it was at the beginning of the pain fight. When he was getting ready to summon the 2 great hermits.

Re: ::Naruto::
So is this the best Naruto arc of part 2 or what?
I´m thrilled that Naruto is FINALLY using frog summons, Jiraya taught him to learn frogs like hundreds of chapters ago and aprat from fight Gaara´s sand monster, he never used them again. And Kishimoto constantly drew pictures of Naruto in top of all kinds of frogs, he even had one with Naruto using a frog has a mount which was especially awesome.
Great that the first time, he has the strongest looking ones.
Still, i can´t see Naruto taking down all the bodies by himself, unless his technique that were never shown (The one that Jiraya told him not to use) and the shuriken rasengan take them all out of comission.
Anyways, Naruto never look better, awesome cape.
By the way, could that cape be related to frog summoners? Wasn´t the 4th hokage riding Gamabunta when he was fighting the nine tailed fox?

Re: ::Naruto::
Hm, maybe so, it is really cool. It's actually a coat since it has sleeves, right? Though it does look like a cloak, and Naruto was wearing a cloak a while back. I like the new digs a lot. I think we're getting a taste a pre-hokage mid-teen Naruto now. I can't wait to see what he's gonna do.Deathbringer wrote:Anyways, Naruto never look better, awesome cape.
