10.) Flame of Recca
9.) Bleach
8.) Full Metal Alchemist
7.) Hajime no Ippo
6.) Gantz
5.) Vagabond
4.) Blade of the Immortal
3.) Kenshin
2.) One Piece
1.) Berserk

(I should also prolly give an honorable mention to Naruto, as it should prolly be on the list, if only at 11 at the lowest. There are also so many other great series, but it would defeat the purpose of a top ten to list them all. My list definitely varies from time to time though.)

Starnum wrote:Ranma was good for a while, but then like Inuyasha, it failed to go anywhere. Rumiko Takahashi seems to have a serious fear of resolving anything in her mangas. Ranma and Akane never get married, and Inuyasha and the gang never defeat Naraku. At the end of those series, nothing has really changed. Meh, no thanks. Kenshin is one of the best series ever though, it's on my top ten list. I also don't like Shojo manga. As for Zetman, it's pretty decent, but you should check out Berserk, it's by far, the best manga ever. Heh, it's pretty damn bloody though, but most of us around here like that sort of thing. In fact, it goes beyond bloody into down right demented carnage, but it's got a really awesome plot and art though, so give it a read sometime. We're glad you like Zetman, but Berserk is what we're most proud of scantilating around here, it's like our flag ship.
Yeah, Ranma and Akane goes nowhere in the manga but everyone knows what will happen. That's the open ending style of Takahashi. But it's very funny, written for entertainment, that's probably the first thing i want from manga. Inuyasha still continues, so you cant say it failed or not. And those romance manga i listed above are not Shojo, they are all Shonen. And in the end, I am going to read Berserk to see how wonderful it is. Thanks for the scanlation.

Well, whether it's still running or not, Inuyasha has failed, IMO.

Anyway, no prob, enjoy the scans.

That guy was so disappointing that he would probably spell "He'll steal your soul" like "He'll still your soul".

Hey, you never know, maybe he means "He'll calm your soul." Though somehow I doubt that.

No particular order, since most top[insert number] clearly depends of mood swings:

Berserk
Akira
Angel Sanctuary
Ghost in The Shell
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Blade of the Immortal
Eden
...
Can't see other titles that could appear in my all time top. Although not a manga, I'd say Blood, the last vampire novel written by M. Oshii, is one of the best reading experiences i ever had. Highly recommend it.

What the hell is with B.E.C.K.?

I know Beck or Mongolian Shop Squad Beck.

When i see Naruto, Bleach and Shaman King in the same top i think someone didn't read enough manga in it's lifetime.

i don't know if i have ten...

1)berserk
of course, there's nothing more to say
2)parasyte
great gore, and the main character shin, has a very cool progression from start to finish
3)akira
4)naruto
5)kagen no tsuki
it's pretty short, by ai yazawa, a ghost story, where a group of kids tries to help a dead girl who is waiting for her boyfriend.
6)yuria 100
it's hilarious
7)suzumiya haruhi
don't call me gay please but i like this manga and anime

nope guess i can't quite reach ten. i would almost recommend urutsukidouji, but only for amino jyakuu, he's too cool. the rest of the manga is kind of boring, even if you like demon porn, which i don't, but if i did i don't think this is a good example, even if it's the first one to try it. but amino makes it worth it. if i made a list of fictional characters, he's near the top next to the old 80's mr fixit grey hulk.
let your logic be your guide

Not sure what you mean with "vagabond scans only". I meant the Vagabond manga with Musashi Miyamoto as the main character, strays sometimes gives releases of Vagabond...

Vagabond scans mean if you read the scanlated version and not the volume collection books in english by Viz.

Vagabond is one of few quality mangas that have been licensed for years. My brother shaka also reads the scans by strays.

I only read the books. I have read the scans up to vol 10. The books look so much better.

Oh yeah I read the scanlations alright. I never bought any manga, except for one piece vol 1 and berserk vol 1 XD
Btw the scans are pretty good in quality, doubt the book has way much better quality than the scanlations... :D

god i wrote something about 20th century boys but then it never sent...

either way the short version of it:

Most Japanese managaka's have no idea how to end a story, they suck at it. If an ending sucks, then generally the story as a whole just feels even worse. "Did i just really sit through all of that?" honestly this is the same guy who did Monster, which suffered from the same problem. I look at a few lists and honestly most of it is pure crap (Vagabond is suppose to be a glorified story of the greatest swordsman ever, but to seriously fuck up on his greatest tale ruined it for me, art is still good though).

Though of course there are some good ones like akira and ichi the killer (that part with the short guy being a steroid freak was just plain stupid...) These manga's at least knew how to end something.

But yah i dono i was just pissed off at 20th century boys...
