Just so you're all not in the dark, the translation is coming along, there was just a lot of text. Should be out later tonight!

Hence my use my use of quotation marks around "nose." Perhaps "nasal cavity" would have been the more correct term, but c'mon man, you know what I meant! :P

This is probably a stupid question, but it's one I've been mulling over: Does Miura do all of Berserk himself? If he doesn't it's still a huge piece of art that is definately worth praising, but I've always wondered what the little text in the corner meant when the word 'team' was there. The other question I have is that is all of Berserk hand drawn? Nothing bugs me more in a manga than when the detail is just some computer bull shit thrown in the fill up the gaps. The most annoying I've seen is where they just take a photo of a real place, fuzz it out, then put it in as a back drop. Talk about lazy. I'm not saying Berserk has ever done this, but I'm wondering if it has been enhanced by computers or if what we see is the same as what's on the master Miura draws.

Heh, yeah, I was just messing around.

As for your questions Herald, I don't really know, but I wouldn't be surprised if Miura at least had an assistant. As for his art, I doubt he uses any computer editing stuff, but I know they do that in Gantz. I kind of like it though, I don't know of many other if any that I've seen that do it quite like that.

In some of his sidebar comments printed in just about every issue of Young Animal where his Berserk manga serial appears, creator Kentaro Miura often gives some reference to events in his personal life or current goings on with the comic. In recent issues he gave an explanation for the recent 3+ months of lapse in the manga's serialization. In late 2006 he first warned the manga may go to temporary irregular publication format as the coming storyline would deal with a huge army of over 1000 soldiers. After returning to Young animal a few weeks ago, Miura confirmed the break was due to the fact that he was drawing soldiers during that time (he draws each one by hand with no computer aids)..."

I pulled this from animenewsservice.com
No computers but I do wonder what the team is for. Maybe they just edit and put together his art and handle the business side of things.

Look on the bright side. The next one should be out soon, so you won't have to wait long between the two chapters. :D
