Garfield randomizer.

Post by Femto »

Some guy thought it'd be a good idea to just randomize the panels in a Garfield strip and the end result is sometimes, after a couple tries, an even funnier strip than those crafted by Jim Davis.

A great example of just how formulaic and derivative of each other these strips can be.

Even more amusing, perhaps, is taking these strips and just removing Garfield altogether, resulting in a Jon Arbuckle that's a little more pathetic and far more twisted in the head.

How this strip is still in syndication is beyond me.

Then again, pretty much the entire comics section is horrible these days.

The Boondocks, you asshole. (but now they have a tv show)

anyways, That stuff was good, but the reason why newspaper comics all suck is that the internet comics are free to do anything, espically stuff from xkdc, where it is serious business on the interwebs, or even perrybible.

Calvin and Hobbes begs to differ.

The severity of content is not a measure of quality.

okay Calvin and Hobbes is genius, robot chicken's bit on it proved its worthiness, but my newspaper has no Calvin and Hobbes.

I don't think Calvin and Hobbes is in syndication anymore.

Just a single reprint of a Calvin and Hobbes strip every day would still be better than the entire comics page these days.

that lasted me a good 5 minutes, made me think of all my years of bothering to read garfield...i almost always read the comics in the paper but i havent found too many really good ones, but i dont take them too seriously. one of my friend's fathers is a political cartoonist and i learned to just read them for fun and not be too judgmental. its quite hard to get your comic in the paper. (though i guess its about connections like anything) anyway, thanks for the randomness for it is appreciated.

I guess it would be wrong of me to not mention Lasagna Cat since I know of it.
